Thoughts on this Explorer Town faithful? Most people I knew in college could barely take care of themselves, let alone an animal....and I can't begin to imagine how an un-air conditioned St. George Hall will smell in September and May. (Heck...my roommate who played baseball stunk up our entire townhouse in the spring). Also..theologically speaking, shouldn't they have used St. Bernard or St. Francis? www.phillyvoice.com/la-salle-university-pet-friendly-dorm-philadelphia-dogs/ Woof

La Salle might be the first with a dedicated housing option, but it is not the first in the city to allow non-licensed / non-certified emotional support or comfort animals.
As long as you can prove the necessary vaccinations have been acquired, I've heard of turtles, lizards, cats, and rabbits all being fair game.

My only issue with this is whether or not the 18-22 year olds can manage having a dog. Walking, washing, General care. I was not the most responsible college student.

Yeah I think it's a good idea to try, but I hope it doesn't end up being something that's not in the best interest of the animals.

Looking forward to the first student that tries the "My roommate's dog ate my homework" line.

Purina changed the zip lock on the big bag of dog food. I'm not happy. Will be looking for a new dog food provider.
Nothing like an angry dog owner (he has a La Salle collar I bought in the book store).
PS my daughter lived off campus with 4 other room mates and had a dog. Students having a dog was not a problem for THEM.
