Lunardi comes out today. CNNSI has already started their Bubble Watch feature which also comes out on Tuesday's.
My job bores me to tears and I only have a few days left there. I will be hitting refresh a LOT.

There are some bracketologists like Bracket Project who still don't believe in La Salle. Screw them. We know at this point we are in since our RPI dictates it. Just keep winning and forget all these bracketologists.
The bracketologists who have La Salle in are using current real numbers. Those who are don't are projecting La Salle to lose down the road. They are dealing with projections (fake numbers) and we all know how projections usually go.

Yes as of today LaSalle would be in. All brackets are dumb when you still have alot of conference games left. Stay healthy, play solid basketball and I think everything else falls into place.

I'm just really excited. We were always on the fringe teams last season. Like the "sorta maybe if absolutely everything goes their way" end of the list in these things. We've been more of the "very maybe but they have to..." this season. But now we're going to be on the "SHOULD BE IN" lists for the first time!

After wsoccer had a 37-40 rpi and a 15 seed on the road at the #8 overall, I am wary of the selection committee giving us any favors unless we run the table in Brooklyn

I don't think you can compare the selection committee's for Women's Soccer to Men's Basketball

It is all about money and keeping that in mind TV wants the big draw names. The best hope for smaller named school's is the cinderella story.

we do have the benefit of being in the 4th largest media market. Given the way our sports media covers teams, they will be all over La Salle if we get in, especially if there are only 2 teams from Philly in because those guys jump all over the hot story as do Philly fans.
I would almost guarantee that if we were somehow to play at the WF Center here that you would see a huge fan support from the local fans and we would play to mroe LS fans in one game than we do in a month at the Tom Gola Arena
Just keep winning.

If I'm a 5 seed, and the 12 seed I'm playing gets to play in their home city, I'm pretty pissed. Just saying.

That's what I was getting at, I would love to see this team continue to improve its status in the tournament to a point that we could get a game at the WF Center. An 8 seed would help, but then having to play a 1 seed in round 2 would be both exhilirating and devastating all at the same time....

Quick question and why I openly question a lot of this:
Team A: RPI: 26 SOS: 35 Top 100: 8-7 of that Top 50: 3-3
Team B: RPI: 61 SOS: 67 Top 100: 2-12 of that Top 50: 0-6
Which teams are these and what are their ranking on Lunardi's "s-curve" and their seeding?

Or this one:
Team C: RPI: 57 SOS: 71 Top 100: 5-10 of that Top 50: 2-6
This team is behind Team A right now but is even further behind from Team B on Lunardi's seedings

Quick question and why I openly question a lot of this: Agree with everything you wrote and yet I still fear that Lunardi has become a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy with the voters. "If a team is ranked highly in bracketology, it must be for a reason, because in the past, we've always put in teams ranked highly in bracketology." No factual basis there, just paranoia.

This is one is a doozy:
Team D: RPI: 36 SOS: 20 Top 100: 5-12 of that Top 50: 2-8
They are the highest ranked of all the schools listed and are 1 seeding higher than Team B and 3 seedings higher than Team A (which is about 10 spots on the S-curve).

Glockner on CNNSI has an 11 seed taking on UCLA in the first round. UCLA's freshman sensation Kyle Anderson was briefly recruited by us -- his dad, in fact, posted a handful of times on the old board about that -- but then he became big time and went to the most storied program of them all.
Of course, the #3 seed would be the Miami Hurricanes.
REVENGE!

This is what he has to say in his Bubble Watch column about us. We're "In The Mix":
Best week of any bubble team? The Explorers beat Butler and then went down to VCU and won there, too. Plus, their previous best win, Villanova, just beat Louisville and Syracuse. Rev up that profile! The Explorers went from fairly far from the cutline to in the bracket in the space of a week. The work doesn't end here. Hungry UMass comes calling before a tricky game at George Washington.

I hope this bracket talk doesn't jinx us. As a long term sufferer I natuarly worry a lot.
