Clock operator error decides the game. Unbelievable.

How do they let the game end like that?

We might not have won if we had the time, but that was complete bullshit. The clock started before the inbounds pass was thrown. What the hell were the refs looking at!?!?!?!?!?!?!

What a travesty! A10 office should investigate. Bet it makes ESPN highlights or lowlights.

This one hurts. We were in it. Can't let them get a 9-0 run to end the half. Deas turnover at the end was not the reason we lost. We lost because we couldn't shoot, didn't work it inside to get fouls, and were careless with the ball.

Clock started 2 seconds early. Was Tim Donaghy in charge of these refs? I think it started 2/10s sec early and pretty obviously so. But that was really a stupid play call IMHO.

All clock operators should be instructed to start the clock early if away team has a chance to win or tie off an inbounds. That was a joke.

Watching the Bonnies stream, I had flashbacks of Bagni and Neumann on La Salle 56 in 2005.

Even the Bonnie's board said the refs screwed up the end. Clock started on the throw when it should start when touched inbounds.

They ran off 1.9 seconds on the clock while Beatty ran the baseline. 1 second ran off on tip, when there was on over the back call missed on Croswell on the catch. At worst, it should have been an inbound in the half court set with 2.2 seconds if this was a real conference. A10 leadership midgets and the zebra pawns will just look the other way. This wouldn't happen in the Phila HS Catholic League. This is sixth grade B league CYO game supervision in Olean NY. Just ridiculous.

Shouldn't the clock starr when the ball is touched. There should've still been approx 2seconds when it went out of bounds

Tough one to swallow...The good thing about this for the conference championship is they can get down but fight back and has the ability to take the lead late in 2nd half of games...But im afraid of that last play by Shaggy might hurt down these last few games

Lamar.Simpson was the lead official and it is amazing he is still officiating. He never gave a damn about the integrity of the game as the other officials told him they had to redo, the last 3.1 seconds and he said no. If anyone has the ESPN+ account please review the video and pause it when the ball touches his hand... how much time is on the clock? Send that freeze frame to the A10.

Remember Davidson player bear hugging Steve Zack and tossing him out of bounds under the basket? No call. Please no Ted Valentine.

Explos look good when they pass the ball and receiver comes to ball, but lazy passes and too much one-on-one dribbling continues to hurt.

3.1 seconds were left on the clock at the start of the in-bounds play. The ball was first touched at 1.3 or 1.4 seconds from what I saw on ESPN+.

Shouldn't the clock starr when the ball is touched. There should've still been approx 2seconds when it went out of bounds I think you are right. The announcers ran the video showing the clock. It started about 2/10ths before it was thrown but yes should not start until it is touched. Clearly robbing us of more time than that.

So like 2 or 3/10 of a second ran off before the pass was released.

This was valuable because I learned for some reason I’m blocked on Twitter by the guy Andrew Greth who posted the video. I guess it’s possible there’s a good reason for it, but I’ve got a pretty good memory and I can’t remember ever interacting with him.

In all honesty, the Croswell "intentional" foul on Osun was the straw that broke the camel's back. We had come out of the locker room with renewed intensity on both ends of the court, and that sucked the wind out of our sails. A 36-35 Explorer lead became a 52-41 Explorer deficit starting with that play (the first five-minute replay timeout). This team has hung tough in just about every game, and so the comeback to tie it up 60-60 with the ball and 32 seconds to go was surprising and not at the same time. Then, after burying a "no no no no YES" long three on the previous possession, we start a play with about five or six passes over 10 seconds instead of milking the clock with one or two guys dribbling or holding onto the ball - only for Shaggy to drive the lane against a premier defender who had FIVE (5) blocks tonight and only one foul, and he slips and slides and turns the ball over. This was another play that could have been handled differently even before the Shaggy drive. He was not on the floor for the now-infamous final inbound play with 3.1 seconds to go. Here are some screengrabs (because I hate myself): Beatty chucks it down the floor to Croswell - ball hits off his hand (and amazingly not Osunniyi's) with 1.3 seconds on the clock Attachment DeletedPookie still has not even touched the ball and the clock is 0.0, red light is on Attachment DeletedPookie getting closed out by Osun chucks it toward the rim (does he get fouled? would he have quickly pushed the ball to Brookins for a 2 to tie it? how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie pop?) Attachment Deleted

Here is the full sequence. The clocked started 2 or 3/10 of a seconds before the pass was released and there was roughly 1 second left when the ball got tipped
