How about G's quote. "Fortunately I work with a great administration that allowed me to build something"

How about G's quote. "Fortunately I work with a great administration that allowed me to build something" I know right! I mean what's he going to say? The board sucks, so does the president and the AD? He has to spew the typical company line bs

I think G meant he appreciated La Salle giving him the time to build what is happening now.
Remmber just two years ago many people thought he would be fired.
If anythinhg La Salle's administration is patient. Too patient for my taste but in this case their patience was rewarded. Now if they would only give him better tools to work with maybe we could have these feelings for some time.

How about G's quote. "Fortunately I work with a great administration that allowed me to build something" I agree with Explorer88. You have to read the quote in the context it was written. G is not hogging the credit for this stretch, he recognizes the administration's patient "allowance" though he believes winning it has been a long time coming. It is almost like I told you so, to the harsh skeptics, but he clearly is aspiring for more wins. I think he is being too cautious to overhype this team because he knows they are capable enough and yet how any team in the a10 can dismantle us if we start to believe that we don't have to work as hard as Fordham/Duquesne/Dayton etc.

Here's one of my favorite quotes from that Andy Katz article mentioned above:
"But it has been a slog the past few seasons after La Salle made the mistake of trying to build its team around Aaric Murray, who subsequently transferred to West Virginia."
