Finally back for a new season. My prediction is that it is more fun watching the games that spending 6 months waiting for them to start again. And I am looking forward to seeing what Ash is able to do with his group of players.

James the Lesser was famously "in the shitter" when that group shot was posed for. Methinks you have been "hanging around" Judas just a bit too long!

Steve's off his medicine, and Dolphins never started his.

I'm hoping for 16 wins. I'm cheating if I make a win-loss prediction now, but I'd say 14-17 is where we will end up.
I don't know how Temple is going to do in the AAC, so it's hard to use last night as an accurate measuring stick.

16-14 10-8 Playing better each month as the players gel together and get used to Ash. Expect to make noise in A10's. Home upset of Davidson. BUMP. I thought I would put myself and others through the embarrassment or glory of reflecting on our guesses. I will be the first to admit I went for the higher range of expectations. I thought this team had talent. Maybe not NCAA or NIT talent but not a total disaster 6 win type team. With a new coach and freshness I thought they might over achieve. I probably underestimated how tough the non-conference schedule would be. Temple was a team I thought we had a good shot at right out the gate with a new coach. We played them close. Not so sure today we play them that close. Temple is much better than I thought and got better as the season went on. Drexel and Lafayette were terrible losses. We play them today and both should be high single digit wins. Bucknell was another one I had in the "W" column. I think it's a toss up. If we played them ten times ( H and A), it might be 5-5. I know it would not be a 13 point loss at home. I thought we could beat Penn at home. I was really really wrong. Like Bucknell, I would see a lot closer game ( with Pookie). I thought we might get one win at the Wooden Classic albeit in the 7th place game. We probably would still go 0-3 today against the same three teams but I think we play a lot more competitive. I would have been pretty close on the A10 guess if we didn't lay an egg against GW at home. My home upset of Davidson was sweet.

Probably would have had another win or two in the A10 if Clark could have played. Excited to see what next year brings and would love to see us get a win or two in BKLN

OK, here we are. Season begins tomorrow. I've been following this program since my Freshman Year of college. I'm 32 now. Tomorrow marks the first time I'll ever a La Salle game with anyone other than John Giannini coaching. A little surreal, but I'm super excited about the Ashley Howard era and think we made a perfect hire. That said, this is a team coming off several losing years in a row that lost their best player (BJ). At the end of last season I was looking at this year's team as an 8 or 9 win team. I'll allow myself to be a bit more optimistic given the coaching change, but I do think some of you are in outer space with some of these 20+ win goals. Overall Record: 12-18 A-10 Record: 7-11 (tied for 9th) Still excited for the start of a new year, and I don't think the story of this year is necessarily about wins and losses. FIGHT ON EXPLORERS! I was fairly close.

I was close on the overall record (I had them at 12-18), but wildly off on the OOC (my prediction was 6-6) and the A10 (I predicted 6-12). The good thing is we performed better in the A10, which is encouraging.
I'm not expecting much in the tourney. I'd be happy with even one win, but that's a big maybe.

I’d be ecstatic to watch two live La Salle games during lunch this week.

"Sorry Charlie! We need tuna that tastes good." Let's see the guys win a few in Brooklyn... remember G isn't here so we should see some good Explorer D and a cohesive offensive strategy. Ash will definitely game plan.
