I see they updated the roster but it does not have any newcomers. Did the new staff add any players?

I saw the 4 star commitment is still coming to La Salle and well as Shayla Sweeney from NJ and they aren’t not listed so I think the roster is just not updated to include the newcomers.

Thanks that good news to hold on to a couple of recruits. I heard they have offered the PG from Arch. Wood (Oriehl ??)

8 players are listed on the roster but 11 are shown in the picture released today. Looks like 3 new players still need to be added to the roster.

The women got a commitment tonight from Christina Kline out of Florida. No shock that Mik beat me to this. And getting a girl from Florida is a surprise to me. Hope Mountain grabs some of the local talent too.

That is certainly disappointing news. Makayla Pippin had played for two other private high schools before transfering to Rock Creek Christian Academy for her senior year. She immediately became the star player and leading scorer of the RCCA team. She committed to La Salle University in November of 2017 on NLI signing day. Upon further inquiry, it now appears that subsequently she was dropped / dismissed from the Rock Creek Christian Academy girls basketball varsity team by the head coach on January 14th, 2018 for undisclosed reasons :
www.washingtonpost.com/news/recruiting-insider/wp/2018/02/05/girls-basketball-notebook-langley-learns-how-to-close-just-in-time-for-the-playoffs
It is not known if she stayed in school and graduated on time. Curiously, it does not appear that anything whatsoever has been written about Pippin, her basketball status, NCAA eligibility or intentions during the last 7 months. Perhaps she has reclassified to the Class of 2019 ?

It's possible that her NLI was torn up...or she didn't want to play for the new coach.

One of our new recruits is the niece of Mugsy Bogues and Dell Curry. Her god-brother is Steph Curry.

Best wishes to Makayla for academic and athletic success in all of her future endeavors. Hopefully, she will still look to join the La Salle Lady Explorers two years from now after earning her associates degree at CAC.

Makayla Pippin Update : averaged 14.7 ppg and 9.9 rebs-pg in 27 games, while playing only 10.5 minutes per game; 41.8 FG%, 34.4 3PT%
www.vaquerosports.com/sports/wbkb/2018-19/bios/pippin_makayla_eb92
Makayla ( No. 10 below ) was named to the all-ACCAC second team as a freshman.
The Vaqueras played in ( but lost ) their Conference Championship game on March 8, 2019.
Congratulations on a great season Makayla ! Sorry, but there's no way those mpg are correct. Exploring15 : Pippin's playing time per game as a freshman gradually increased as the season progressed. She went from not playing at all in the beginning to becoming a starter playing most of the games by season's end. The 10.5 mpg is her PT averaged over all 31 games. Finally, let's not forget that she was an ESPN 4-star recruit coming out of high school. She was an impact player statistically whenever she got in the games. Makayla's increasing contributions were one of the main reasons her team made it all the way to the Conference Championship game this year.

I hope she makes even half the impact that Fatty made in La Salle's 1968-69 special season (23-1, Ranked #2 in AP poll).
