Cardinal O’Hara High School is pleased announce that Chrissie Doogan has been named as Head Girl’s Basketball Coach and Ryan Nemetz is the Head Coach of the Boy’s Basketball Program.
Chrissie has been a key member of the coaching staff for the last six years. She has coached at LaSalle University and Cornell University. During her playing days at O’Hara, she helped lead her team to three Catholic League Championships (1991, 1992, 1993). Chrissie was also named First Team All Catholic for three straight years and was the MVP of the Philadelphia Catholic League in 1992 and 1993. Chrissie was also named Delaware County Player of the Year in 1992 and 1993. She was inducted into the Cardinal O’Hara Hall of Fame in 2004.
"I am excited to welcome Chrissie Doogan as the new Head Coach for Girl’s Basketball. She has gained incredible experience over her collegiate and high school coaching and playing careers in the Philadelphia Catholic League and at LaSalle University. We look forward to Chrissie leading our program and striving to be the best year after year in the Philadelphia Catholic League,” reflected O’Hara Athletic Director BJ Hogan.
Ryan Nemetz takes over as the Head Coach for Boy’s Basketball this school year. Ryan comes to O’Hara after coaching four seasons at Eastern University, where he was the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach/ Recruiting Coordinator. In 2012, Ryan was the Director of Player Development at a company called House of Sports in New York. He has also coached at IMG Basketball Academy where he was Senior Coach/ Recruiting Coordinator. Ryan started his collegiate playing career at Kutztown University in 2007-2009, he then transferred to Temple University for the remainder of his playing career. Ryan is a 2007 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School (Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.) He graduated from Temple University in 2012 with a business degree and received his MBA from Eastern University in 2016.
