While channel surfing on a rainy day this past Sunday, May 27th, I had the good fortune to accidently stumble upon the 2018 NCAA Div. 1 Women's Lacrosse National Championship game between Boston College and James Madison University ( played at SUNY-Stoney Brook, NY), which turned out to be an exciting, highly competitive and thoroughly entertaining match from start to finish, and which went right down to the wire between two teams who had never previously won an NCAA Lacrosse Championship, before it ultimately was won 16 - 15 by James Madison University in the final minute or two before time ran out. Refreshingly, it was the first time in memory that the National Womens Lacrosse Championship was not won by one of the usual / traditional powerhouse womens lacrosse Programs, e.g., Syracuse, Johns Hopkins, Maryland, Navy, Princeton or UVA.
