If you don't think the other A10 schools aren't shitting their pants looking at our coaching staff and our renewed abilities to recruit, you're crazy. Right.. and then they remind themselves of our facility and quickly come back to reality.

So if I told you there will be very major improvements that will be given high priority, you'll still think that's true?

If it’s going to be called the Wawa Workout Facility or involves seats behind baskets, I’m listening.

Remember when Calapari went to UMass. They had crappy facilities but a young energetic coaching staff. They recruited harder then anyone and Calipari could coach. This reminds me a little of that situation. If we can become “the place” to go we can steal a few top players and be in the top teir of the A10. I hope AH can coach.

What A-10 school has a facility that is something to brag about? None of the arenas in the conference are like the Yum Center or any of the state-of-the-art big gyms. None have any sort of Phog Allen-type history, unless you count Rose Hill, and no one does. VCU probably has the best home court advantage in the league, but I would chalk that up to it having a rabid fan base at an art kid college.

We don’t need a Taj Mahal to get to the middle of the pack in the A10 facilities race.
This duo with Donnie Carr makes a terrific trio out there selling La Salle to good students and athletes. When the facilities come up to average with a lot of the schools, the staff we have suddenly gets a major leg up.
Hard as it may be to believe, but the real investment in the program is being made. I expect more great news to come. As the kids say, “this shit is about to get real”

If we can recruit from the WCAC with Kenny and the PCL with Ash and Donnie... I think we have our hands in arguably the two best HS basketball conferences in the country.

Richmond and Davidson have pretty solid arenas/facilities as well.

Right.. and then they remind themselves of our facility and quickly come back to reality. Not singling you out, but a group of guys on this board need to wake up and realize that it's not 2008 anymore. Tom Brennan and Brother Mike aren't steering this ship. Somehow, some way, we bought out G to the tune of 1.5 million, when nobody on this board knew it was going down. Then, outside of Chris Mack, Danny Hurley, and Penny Hardaway...we made the biggest head coaching hire of the off-season. That includes Capel. This board raised 18 Grand in meal money for the basketball team. We've had the President of the school, the head of the BOT, and Kale Beers post on this board. We were one of 2 schools rumored in the running for a Mickey D All American, should he leave Kentucky, so much that Calipari had to convince him to stay. We landed a local transfer that played for South Carolina. We just landed an assistant from Louisville, an assistant that landed the NBA ROY, an assistant that was making $500,000, an assistant lauded as the best in the ACC. A month ago we were rumored to hire Mike Rice. Yes a terrible exit from Rutgers under horrible circumstances, but a former head coach that is still a big player in the recruiting game was in the conversation for a spot on our staff. I think the foundation of our program will probably be top 150 recruits, but with the hires we've made and the connections that our hires have, expect La Salle to punch above their weight class in recruiting. You don't think that Colleen, Bill, and the rest of the powers that be aren't aware of the facility challenges and won't address them? What is it going to take for the most cynical of you to realize that it's a new sunrise at 20th and Olney?

We've had the President of the school, the head of the BOT, and Kale Beers post on this board. We landed a local transfer that played for South Carolina. To be fair - G landed two transfers from South Carolina (One of whom worked out really really well for us). Other than the BOT chair posting on here (about nothing basketball related) ... those others have posted in the past, so that's not new.

I don't know what you are looking for but two Meet and Greets have been scheduled locally and one in Naples FL to coincide I would assume with A10 Coaches Meeting. Maybe this from Brian Quinn helps? explorertown.proboards.com/thread/3088/meet-coaches-season-ticket-info

Invisibly filling up the box score like no rookie since Magic has in the playoffs: bkref.com/tiny/xMwFiSure, it's not as impressive as getting hired while you're part of an FBI probe into mountains of shady shit, but not too shabby, either.
