6'7" 215lbs
From cityofbasketballlove: "Overall: A solid-bodied forward, Croswell has no qualms about what he brings to the court. Has the ability to pick-and-pop out to 15 feet but is best in post-up situations, where he has great hands/feet and knows how to get his defender up in the air. Slightly undersized for a Division I post at 6-7 and doesn't have great athleticism, though he's fairly mobile; could work out well in a two-forward system that values post scoring."

Never heard of this kid until I saw we offered him last week. I don't follow Catholic League basketball that much any more so he may be more well known than i think.
In any event I really like what I saw on tape. He looked like he has some nice skills. Not the typical forward G recruits. Inside out forward with nice handle and great footwork. Looked like a better athlete than he gets credit for.

Mark Zoller was an undersized prep kid who had a terrific career at Penn. Hopefully Croswell will be in that category. Speedy can coach so you know the kid will know how to play. Welcome to La Salle.

Today's Inky lists Ed Croswell as 6-8 240. Boy did he grow since last year. The article on COBL has G comparing him to Jerrell Wright. Personally I would take 1/3 Zoller, 1/3 Conlin and 1/3 Wright. That would be one tough character and presence.

If you took the right third from each of those guys (or I guess the left third in the case of Jerrell and Craig), you'd have a player who would literally never miss a shot

I know a few people who know Croswell to various degrees. They *LOVE* him. He's the next in a long line of very sweet and good-natured kids that we've had over the years. He's also a really good student. He might not be a Top 100 guy but he fits a culture we've developed that I support.

Ed, welcome aboard. Great addition.
There's nothing like a Philly guy playing for us. Love seeing dozens of family members after the game gathering and talking with their son/relative and with the other players. That is something truly special ... and something you never see with the Power 6 schools that play in big arenas that are pretty boring and antiseptic for my tastes. Give me real Philly every time. Gola, the Palestra = real Philly!

Race had nothing to do with it, so let's loosen the grip some. It was a joke, the kid was CAA Rookie of the Year, of course we'd all want him.

God knows we could stand to take a chance on it after last year, though.

I love that the welcome thread was one page, while the "Ed is transferring thread" is like a James Joyce novel

I love that the welcome thread was one page, while the "Ed is transferring thread" is like a James Joyce novel Give yourself more credit Glitter. I believe you far and away helped write that Joyce novel with 65 posts on that thread (full disclosure, I have about 35 contributions to the novel).
