Joe, I've been one of the most outspoken over the years about not having jersey options and I'm happy to see they've finally kinda done it but I don't think it's unreasonable to ask why they aren't the company we have a contract with and aren't the actual jerseys

Maybe a little overly critical, but here's where I agree - while these aren't our jerseys, they've also never been our jerseys. We've never worn those, I don't think, and they're super ugly. It's probably a stock jersey that they slap a La Salle font on.
Done out of convenience and cost. It's better than nothing, so I'm not mad, but I get some of the argument. We've had enough 'classic' and simple options over the years...

I'll choose to look at it as a step in the right direction.

It's a nice step, but those are objectively brutal jerseys.

andddddd this is why they hate us. When they set up the special Under Armour portal for us last winter, i was happy to order a lot stuff. It was high quality stuff. It was expensive, but I knew high quality. Those champion jerseys look like they're printed on repurposed gym class pinnies from the reagan administration

I think those cheap champion jerseys are great. Wish I could get something like that for temple. It's an $80 authentic or nothing.
To the overall point of this thread, gear availability is so important. I was just in State College, and every other store is a Penn State swag store. I think having so much stuff available normalizes buying things branded from your school. People love going into these places and browsing and end up buying a thing or two, and that jjust keeps people connected to their school. You need to induce demand. You're going to have a lot more la salle stuff in the hands of students and alumni if you make buying it a normal part of a day back on campus.
I think Temple doesn't have enough stuff available either (you're either shopping at the bookstore or nowhere), but i'm sure it's better than the la salle inventory.

Its sorta how fans of other teams feel compelled to come to the La Salle basketball forum, vent about their problems, but then take a parting shot on the way out. I don't get it, but to each their own...

I recently visited Notre Dame's campus. Obviously I'm not at all comparing La Salle to ND especially with ND being probably the premier Under Armour contract school but their campus store was a site to behold. I'm assuming our Under Armour contract is limited at best but man just goes to show the missed opportunity after the sweet 16 run, we should have at least been a fun program that people got behind. Instead we shit the bed and gave away the momentum

I don't get it, but to each their own... I wasn't taking a shot at la salle at all. I come through here every so often with a generally positive and supportive tone. I have been to Gola and understand you guys have an issue with gear availability. It's not a knock on your school or a knock on you guys as alums. It's a knock on the people responsible for promoting your brand. I want La Salle to have the brand exposure it deserves. I want to see all of the city schools succeed, and I (to a much lesser extent, obviously) share the concerns your fan base has. I'm friendly to the other city schools. I want to beat you guys more than anyone else, but I respect the college basketball tradition in this city. I think most fan bases do, with an obvious exception.

I hear ya, i should have clarified that I was directing that to a spot where the Main Line intersects with the Big East, though our friends in Overbrook are a close second. But let's be real - We're all really just trying to figure out which head coach is your coach.

Will La Salle makes the switch too? My initial answer is no because Baptiste comes from Northwestern, an Under Armour school.

with temple's switch, la salle is now the only phila div 1 basketball program that is not outfitted by nike.

Staying with under Armour could be a strong move. They treat us better since we are the only Philly school, the aau shoe circuit for under Armour is still very good, and some kids like to stay with what they know (not a huge thing, but any small bit can help). If we go with Nike he will probably be school #400 in the pecking order. At least with UA we are probably top 50 and can jump up very quickly with one good year.
