The big east and BCS created a situation where casual fans thought that mid majors, the A10 and Ivy league, were a lower division. I have even heard people say the phrase "not really division one" when referring to La Salle and Penn. Although that was ignorance, it still stung somewhat because I know how important perception can be. Now that the big least is disbanding, and most of the Catholic 7 has more than 100 RPI, I would like everyone to tell fans and observers of these schools off. Let's reply to every conversation regarding these seven schools as though you were referring to a division 2 school.
I will perpetuate the following lies about these teams: "didn't they get kicked out of the big east?" "Are they even in a real conference?" "RPI killers. I am glad we don't have to play them in our conference."

Maybe I'm misreading your post, but the Catholic 7 weren't kicked out of the Big East.
Either way, I think it would be great if LaSalle was aligned with these programs. For the most part, those programs have been top tier programs and in the tourney regularly.
You are right though, perception is still bad. And to be honest, I don't think too highly of any Ivy League program. It took me a while to give the A10 some respect despite going to LaSalle. As I've stated before though, that could be due to me growing up watching the ACC.

Yea I know the status of the seven. But misperceptions fly around about conferences, so I want to create some rumors about how they are not division one, since their fans have been doing it to the A10 and others ever since the formation of the big least.
