Testy last few days on the board, which is understandable. Let's get ourselves a win against a bad Penn team and finish the non-con at 10-3 before the A-10 gauntlet begins.

We can also get to 2-0 in the Big 5.

Can't wait for an old school beat down. January is going to be a brutal month schedule wise after this game.

Can't make the game due to the cold/bronchitis/plague everyone I know has. Will watch accordingly, however.

No audio with my video but the radio link is synced up perfectly with it.
Liked what I saw on offense early. Not liking the open shots Penn's getting.

15:03 to go. Explorers up 11-7. Let us never take Ramon Galloway's ability to hit DEEP 3's for granted.
Looks like a pretty good crowd today, especially given that the students are still out. West side looks mostly full and East (student) section looks more than half full.

Things fixed now. Glad Sammy made his first shot. Great form. They need to tighten up on defense quickly, though. The ESPN A-10 weekly blog says we get destroyed on pick-n-rolls. It's looking like that today. We're adjusting on the pick and the roll but leaving open jumpers everywhere else. That might be part of the strategy since Penn stinks but we need to contest some of these shots.

Trying to get Hunt some experience, I guess, but I'd like to see a bigger lead before we start experimenting with personnel.

Garvin Hunt getting some minutes and some tough rebounds. I like it.

Cool to see Hunt play his old alma mater. Also, his appearances in THREE straight games means he is working hard, or is G simply trying to mitigate the constant foul trouble?

11:45 to go in the half. Explos up 16-12. Garvin Hunt doing work on the offensive glass.

Could Garvin Hunt give us some good minutes from now on? Also, we're tightening up on defense a lot the past few possessions (forced two turnovers) and are starting to look a little better on offense.

7:14 before the break. Good guys up 23-18. Some poor FT shooting and some sloppy turnovers, but I get the feeling we're gonna blow this thing open via a 10-0 run or something fairly soon. Just a hunch.

Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. We are a very good defensive team and keeping Penn from doing much of anything. On the other end, we're really stagnant on offense. Our guards are trying to penetrate before any picks or sets can be run. It makes sense since on paper Penn's guards can't guard any of ours but it's not working.

Here comes that run. It's up to a 10 point lead now. We're shooting horribly and up 10. Sam needs his head cleared ala Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Ty Garland is officially awesome. For those not watching, he just broke some Penn dude's ankles NBA Jam style and drained a three. It was a Big 5 version of Allen Iverson vs. Lue in the NBA Finals. Oh dear lord.
Then to top it off, he stole the inbound and got fouled. 1 of 2, of course.

3:58 to play. La Salle up 32-18. 9-0 run since the last TO. If Garland made that last FT, I'd have been exactly right haha.

We have a problem closing out in the under three minute stretch. Ugly half. Our defense has been great (and Penn is pretty bad). We need to be a bit more patient on offense and this game will turn into a rout quickly.
