Win the a 10 tourney and life is good. We need more depth at the 4 and 5 like most teams in the NCAA.

Not that I think the selection committee will even have to deliberate for long if we keep playing like this during conference season, but this will be the game that keeps us out. We are already out. Can't win games against BCS Schools. Missed opportunity after missed opportunity for the program. Shame as we always seems to be a piece or two short. Our bigs can't produce when our guards lay an egg. When we need them most.

Quiz, when was the last tyime we beat a top 50 team away from home. Answer probably is at least 15 years. One of the years we had Steve Smith, we smoked a decent Xavier team at Cincy Gardens. Not sure if they were Top 50, but it's possible.

Well, we're 2-1 against BCS schools this year.
Miami's a good team. We had a chance and couldn't make a shot when we needed to and Larkin's kid was scorching hot. That was the game right there.

Regardless of the fact many of the points came once we were down 10+, without Garland we lose by 30.

It was a loss, one we didn't look particularly great in. But come on. "An embarrassment?" That's crap.

Very bad offensive games for Duren and Mills... can't have that.

It's not a bad loss, but it's disappointing to lose the lead we had so fast. I think our guys wore out because of the size and the fouls. I don't know, we went 0-2 in the top 50 games we needed. I don't see how we make the tournament without winning three games in Brooklyn.

We have not beaten a quality team all year, once again G can not beat a good team in a big situation. G is a joke

38, Johnson is their leading rebounder, shot blocker and third leading scorer while taking less shots than two players who are only 2-3 points higher in average and he isin't their best player I would have to disagree.

We need skilled bigs. We are one dimensional. Didn't take long for them to figure that out. After halftime they defended further and further out and we could not score. We played tough D in the first half. We looked exhausted in second half. Getting blown out hurts us.

ACC talent exposed our many weaknesses. Ramon's ballhandling is not strong enough to get him separation when defenses get up on him. Tyreek may be our most complete player but he is undersized and it showed tonight. Sam is not up to this level. Garland has to develop a jumpshot. DJ is a stand still shooter with limited skills. Steve is much improved but lacks the athleticism for this level and Jerrell has limited offense and is slow defensively. The disturbing fact to me is that this is a fairly talented La Salle team and we still aren't at the level of what is likely a middle of the pack ACC team. In many ways we remain a MAAC team. Sorry for the long post , just frustrated at our inability to compete with this type of program.

Talent is there coaching is not. I'd say talent is almost there. We're a defensive big away right now from being a good team. The coaching though was night and day in the second half between Larannaga and G.

Kale is crazy. "The Explorers had nothing to lose coming into this game". Is he nuts? They had EVERYTHING to lose. Hello? NCAA's? I tweeted about this. It really struck me as an odd thing to say. It is a loser mentality as it's not like La Salle was in Cameron Indoor or the Dean Dome. I get the sentiment, but I'm sure that the team did not feel that way and quite frankly, until you expect to win a game like this...you'll be stuck where they are. Just overall a down, down game. Miami figured out that if you can force the guards to the baseline, they get lost. That is what happened. Only Garland could finish at the rim from there, and he did with ease. ~Joe Fedorowicz Philahoops.com

I can't think of a time when La Salle had a big, physical team. Miami played football out there tonight. La Salle can never compete with a style like that, especially when they don't get the foul calls.

Really hoping this team would be the one to bury that way of thinking. At what point can we expect to win? How good to we need to be to deserve a better gym? Clearly putting a better team on the floor the last couple of years hasn't shifted expectations that much.

38, Johnson is their leading rebounder, shot blocker and third leading scorer while taking less shots than two players who are only 2-3 points higher in average and he isin't their best player I would have to disagree. By that logic, Jerrell Williams was our best player in 2007-08.
