Wonder what this was about: It brings an unceremonious end to a tumultuous four-year stint that included an embarrassing public legal ordeal, and ended with a public in-game feud with Lincoln Athletic Director Harry Stinson in late January. The 2019-20 season officially began to unravel on Jan. 29 when Lincoln announced that Overton had been placed on indefinite leave due to personal reasons, and Lett was elevated to acting head coach.
The announcement came two days after Overton and Stinson had a brief but heated verbal squabble during the second half of a Lions’ loss to Virginia State. It took place with Overton in front of the scorer’s table and Stinson seated behind press row, in front of all to see and hear.www.dailylocal.com/sports/overton-steps-down-as-lincoln-university-men-s-basketball-coach/article_d7e06b92-68bd-11ea-861b-93b9e827e31b.html

Missed all of this. This is sad. 4 years ago, I was thinking this was the beginning of a college coaching career for our guy. For whatever reason, it didn’t take long to start to unravel. Quite frankly, I haven’t followed Lincoln, so I was unaware of the ongoing drama.
