Agree with your rankings cpico and unless Bracey changes his drastically this week or provides an explanation he's just as clueless as Lunardi - IMO. Bracey's a St. Joe's grad is he not?

These rankings are retarded. He put Nova ahead of La Salle because Nova beat St. Joes who beat #20 Notre Dame??? Sorry. That's weak. La Salle beat Villanova and are all around a better f'n team than Nova.
Nobody on Nova can touch Galloway or Duren's jock strap.
I see they finally ranked La Salle over Nova. Bout time they caught on.

We don't need a blogger to tell us we're the second best team in the city. We know it. Now we have to follow up with a big win in Miami.
22 is going to be the magic number for the Big Dance. That means Charlotte, Richmond, Dayton and St. Joe's are must wins. Miami, Butler, Xavier, Temple and VCU can be losses. If we end up winning any of those games it's +1 on the resume.

Disagree with you on Xavier. Even though the game is on the road I'm expecting to win that game. Xavier is average this year. I know they beat Butler, but I'll chalk that up as a fluke. Xavier is a game we should win this year, even on the road. We are a better team than Xavier this season.

I agree. I think Temple, Xavier and VCU are very beatable. I was just stating that 22 wins is the number and we can get there without those games I listed above.

I agree...it's just validation and nice to see it on paper (or screen) though. I'm not too worried about it and hopefully, LaSalle follows up the blowout with another convincing win against Siena. Then, start off the new year right with an upset of Miami to validate themselves.

I'm starting to suspect some St. Joe's trollery here.

Until you consider we play Sacred Heart, Iona, and Northeastern, and they've played Florida St., Notre Dame, and Creighton. Let's also consider that St. Joe's got completely embarrassed by Creighton and lost to Florida St. (currently a 4 loss team), in addition to losing to those elite high level powerhouses this year like Villanova and Fairfield . The Notre Dame win was good, but the other wins they have were against some powerhouses as well - let's see: Yale, Harvard, American, and Coppin St. - a real murderers row of competition.

Also, I wouldn't downplay Iona too much, because Friday night St. Joe's has to play that same Iona team that La Salle beat by double digits. The Hawks very well could lose that game.

The real problem my friends is that after the Simmons years the administratio allowed the program to languish. It you look at the Pomery Ratings you find the following. Year, rank, A-10 position in rank Current 59, 4 2012 64, 5 2011 172, 11 2010 162, 13 (this is the year with all the injuries) 2009 109, 7 2008 137, 8 2007 208, 14 2006 99, 3
I am no fan of St. Joe having graduated from LaSalle in '69 but the point is that when the cards are being shuffled as is the current situation recent history does not help us. Combine that with what appears to be little fan support and not a great home venue and it is not a good combination. I however continue to hope for the best and a good 2012-13 season.

Courtesy of the Hawk board a recent update. Last 7 full plus this season they are 119-128. Like to see Lunardi make chicken salad out of that.
