If you need some comedy in your life go on the hawk board today/tomorrow.The board will be shut down by 11.
The Hawk is over rated

They are a disgrace to the A10. If anything, Nova legitimized our win vs them.

My thoughts exactly. Going to be absolutely hilarious.
I love this post from the La Salle Nova game..."Biggest thing i learned from watching - we should crush both of these teams."

Lunardi will probably be forced to knock them down to a 5 seed after this loss.

We know from last year how difficult it can be for any team to win at the Pavilion.
Also comedic is the Villanova twitter feed. #vubasketball. These guys think that was a good game. So many missed shots.

The post that got me (yes I read their board) was how SJU is LaSalle's super bowl.
Arrogance for no reason.

Not to defend them (I definitely like seeing the Hawk fans angry and doubting their team), but we have a pretty bad loss too.

Seriously though, I saw nothing about their performance last season that merited all the hype, same for UMass. Nothing special.

The "best team" in the A-10 is now 5-3. And let's look at those 3 losses:
A 7 point loss to a decent Florida State team, but a team that now has 4 losses.
An embarrassing 29 point loss to Creighton where they were completely blown out of the gym and were really never in the game.
And now a loss to a Villanova team who will struggle to be .500 this year. Also, it's not like Villanova played a great game where they played out of their minds. Nova did not look good tonight.
Sure, doesn't seem like the "best team" in the A-10 or the best team in the City 6.

I skim their board as well. It’s my daily dose of pulp fiction reading. I especially like the La Salle bashing in the usual vein that SJU(of PA) is light years ahead of La Salle athletically and scholastically. Bullshit !

Sounds like they really don't like Phil anymore. I can see how his act gets old, but I would love to have their runs from the mid 90s until 2008 or so. Sounds like the hawk is dead and they can get off their high horse.
I always found it ironic how they claim to be a city school and how Nova is located in the suburbs and shouldn't be considered a city school. F their fans, bunch of tools. They walk around in khakis and sneakers, now I'm fired up.

Karma is a bitch.
How appropriate was it that Kanecevic, after taunting and flipping the bird at the Nova fans earlier, was the one who blew the game for them, missing two crucial foul shots and letting the inbounds pass he tried to throw off of Sutton's leg bounce back and hit him which effectively ended the game. Tough night for the new age Mike Hauer.
The kid is full of himself. Don't know if anyone here caught his act during their game against ND in Brooklyn, but he spent half the game hamming it up for the camera and having a running dialogue with the announcers. It made me want to puke.

I guess they still think they are gonna finish first in the A10.

Those that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
Kanacevic couldn't carry Mike Hauers jock strap SJU read too many stories about how good they were going to be- this feels a lot like that team they had that was pre season top10 and fell apart though. That last 2 minutes was so bad I thought I was watching La Salle piss a game away circa 2007. The body language was terrible and there was absolutely NO game plan on offense for two minutes. They were better without Carl Jones... He's their Ruben G.

A humbling game for the anointed ones at St Joes for certain. It is a long season though and Martellli can coach. Hard to forget after watching their atrocious loss to Temple last year at their first meeting wondering if that was the same team when they beat Temple soundly the second time around.

I wOnder how long before someone puts up a YouTube video of Halil's flipping the finger? If you are going to tick of the crowd with a "bird". Mak sure you can hit the free thros and not throw the ball away five times. Poor kid must be drunk as a skunk thinking about his performance at Villanova.

Hard to get universal agreement on anything but it seems that is exactly what the Hawk posters are saying. Suspend him and have the coach do it. Talk of boycott if the HK is not suspended.

As a life long La Salle Hoops fan I have to admit over the past 3 to 6 years SJU has moved into the program (Big 5, A-10 and all other programs) I despise the most. SJU Fans (students & alumni), Phil and the players have made it easy to dislike them.... Watching how SJU is prior to, during and post the "Holy War" every year is embarrassing. I am glad Nova not only beat them last night, but exposed them on many fronts....

If you play for a Catholic University that kind of behavior is compeltely unacceptable when you are out REPRESENTING the university and warrants a suspension for sure.
It was a dumb thing to do and yes he's only 21, but just because what you did was stupid doesn't mean there shouldn't be consequences.

Overall I'm impressed with the hawk fans for the way they're treating this. They want to see suspensions, accountability, and Phil do the right thing. They are embarrassed more by the behavior than the game itself, though both were awful.
What's not cool is that they have four or five people over there continue to start a separate redundant thread to say the exact same things but in a different tone just so that they can show up on the first page of the forum. Just reply to the other 3 threads that have the same heading! But it usually gets so out of hand over there with everyone shouting FIRST! Moderator's nightmare.

SJU Halil Kanacevic will serve 2 game suspension and a week of practice, as a result of his unsportsmanlike conduct vs Villanova Tuesday
