ESPN's A-10 Power Rankings on 12/14/12:
1. VCU 2. Butler 3. Temple 4. St. Joe's 5. Charlotte 6. St. Louis 7. Xavier 8. Dayton 9. La Salle 10. Richmond 11. Duquesne 12. UMass 13. St. Bonaventure 14. GW 15. URI 16. Fordham
"La Salle: La Salle is a bit difficult to judge at this point. They snuck out of Northeastern with a 66-64 win on Saturday, which was an escape as much as a hard-fought road victory, and they've played some promising offense thus far. Ramon Galloway is still the star, but sophomore D.J. Peterson boasts a 141.6 offensive rating on just 9.1 percent usage -- he needs more touches. This weekend's trip to play Mike Muscala at Bucknell is the big one."

Those rating/usage stats seem to ignore the bump a guy gets from being ... well ... ignored. Less usage means better looks.

How is St. Joe's 4th in ESPN's power rankings? Talk about an overvalued team.

That was the point of my earlier post - this guy knows nothing and probably hasn't watched 5 A10 games all season and jsut goes off box scores and stats. Charlotte has played no one, yet he puts them in the Top 5 b/c they are undefeated. hawks lose at Creighton by 30 and at Nova and basically own 1 quality win over ND but are still up at the top. I'm not saying LS is #1, but #9 is ludicrous, no worse than 5 or 6 right now.

Safe to say we'll see a ranked Butler squad this week. What a great game and amazing effort by the Bulldogs!
