Megan Connell '18 represented the USA last weekend in Barranquilla, Columbia at the 2015 APA Pan American Cross Country Cup. Meg ran 9th and helped the USA team to a 2nd place finish. This is a wonderful accomplishment for the FR and La Salle but inexplicably there has been nothing on Goexplorers.com by the Athletic Department. Not even a little blurb in the Inquirer. You would think there would. I know that any other school in the city would at least have a nice piece and maybe even a video interview on their Athletic website.
On a side note, Meg comes from a La Salle family. I think both parents went to La Salle. Her late father did and was a Bensalem Police Officer who unfortunately died in his 40's of a heart attack.(Mom raised four children. Meg is one of the triplets.) I used to talk to him about La Salle all the time. He loved everything about La Salle.
I wish I could put this on the "main" page so more people will read this but I didn't want to catch a lot of flack. I hope the Athletic Department at some time does something to highlight this accomplishment.

It is a shame that the University does not acknowledge achievement and performance as it should. In addition to individual and team recognition, it could be used for recruiting and marketing purposes.
P.S. Screw the flack.
