espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/68568/conference-power-rankings-a-10We're ninth in their power polls. In case you needed another reason this conference is going to be so deep, look no further than La Salle. The Explorers aren’t national title contenders by any means, but they are one more trendy “Look out for X!” squad that could find its way into the NCAA tournament by season’s end. Ramon Galloway is a really nice player, particularly on the defensive end, and D.J. Peterson is a lights-out shooter. A loss to Central Connecticut doesn’t look great, but wins over Delaware and Villanova aren’t too shabby. There is no bigger fan of DJ than I am but to single him our for praise indicates a guy who has no idea about La Salle save for other press clippings and a scan of the box scores.

Not saying we deserve any high praise considering the CCSU loss (it'll take some more wins to atone for that in terms of recognition outside of Philly), but I agree, clearly doesn't know the team. DJ is a good contributor, but not one of the two guys I would single out to talk about where the team is at.

Weird to phrase it as "look out for X" when discussing an A-10 team.

You earn respect. I'm sick of these we get no respect posts. We get no respect cause we lose to crap teams on way too often, and we lose in the opening NIT game last year and everyone is still on cloud nine for just being there, and the fact that we give Steve Zack a free ride when he can't play.

Anyone who watched Xavier beat Purdue today can see that X is better than anyone could have forecasted with all their player lossses. Mack must be a really good coach.

How about St. Joe's getting absolutely embarrassed by Creighton today? Lost by 29 points and were really never in the game. Looks like St. Joe's might not be as dominant as some think. Do they still receive "votes" in the polls after that display?
Gives a bad impression of the A-10 for the supposed "best team" in the league to get trounced like that.

Not much really matters right now. What matters is the last 10 games of the year. It's how you end up, not how you start out.
