In a weird way, tearing his achilles might actually be a good thing for Devon. Assuming he's serious about his grad degree, it gives him another free year of credits.

The only transfer of a player that made true contributions on the floor was Aaric Murray, but the issues off the floor far out-weighed anything he could contribute to the team. Clearly he was a case of addition by subtraction considering the current state of this team as compared to the state of the team with him on it. Devon White had an opportunity to go to a new program because he graduated, I'm not sure how much PT he would be getting with this team given the minutes that Brown, Wright and Zack have contributed. I mean I'm sure he would be getting 8-10 mins a night but as a senior I imagine he wanted to get more than that. Plus, he busted his achilles over the summer so in reality there is nothing missing. We may lose kids out to transfer but we've been really quite successful getting them in as well - Pettis, Galloway and Garland (hopefully) have all made significant contributions to the team so the door has swung both ways on this. I would gladly trade Murray, White and Lopez for Garland, Galloway and Pettis. In the end we came out well ahead if you ask me.

If we stop losing transfers, you can be assured our recruiting will have gotten much worse.
