Can we get a home base for the 2014/15 Schedule (rumors or confirmations of opponents) and any changes to the 2014/15 roster (transfers in/out, eligibility, etc) since we have a good thread going on recruiting? To my knowledge for next year (Last update 5/14/2014) OOC - Barclays Two of: Virgina, Rutgers, Vanderbilt, consensus seems to be definitely Rutgers + Winner of UVA/Vandy Plus: 2 "lower tier" teams TBD @ Gola Villanova | H | Miami | H (Palestra) | Temple | A (Palestra) | Penn | H | Drexel | A | Towson | A | Hofstra | A | St Peter's | H |
Does this Barclays thing count as 1 "game". So does that mean there are up to 6 open OOC slots to be scheduled? A10Per the A10 Release of H/H Matchups GMU | A | SBU | A | SLU | A | VCU | A | DAY | A | FOR | A | UMASS | A | URI | A | SJU | A | DAV | H | DUQ | H | GW | H | RICH | H | DAY | H | FOR | H | UMASS | H | URI | H | SJU | H |
Roster looks like: Guards:DJ Peterson Sr. (6-5) Jordan Price So. (6-5) Cleon Roberts So. (6-4) Amar Stukes Fr. (r) (6-2) Khalid Lewis Jr. (r) (6-3) Johnnie Shuler Fr. I could be wrong, but I thought Miami was at the Palestra? Maybe KJmac or someone with more inside knowledge can confirm/deny.

Also, I'm fairly certain that the A-10 schedule goes to 18 games next year, which would mean 5 doubles. Other than St. Joe's, I couldn't guess who that would be, although it's been a long time since we didn't play GW twice.

Khalid is a Jr. next year and Wright is a Sr.
Johnnie Shuler is how he spells his last name.
OJ and Hank are non-scholarship I believe so G could still add two more to the roster.

That's what the MAAC does because a lot of their teams can't schedule enough non conference games.

I know its early, but what are the expectations for next year? Other than Zack and Wright starting, who will be the other 3 starters? Or is that to be determined?

Updated original post for corrections. Thanks.
Not sure I was lookin for predictions/expectations at this point- more so just a resource for what we know about next season
I too hope A10 doesn't go 18 games, it limits the OOC possibilities an it's hard enough to get good games

Do we have a return game with Manhattan? Wagner? I think the series with Siena and Hartford are definitely over. I feel like Quinnipiac was a one-off for ESPN, but I'm not sure.

You're right on Siena, Hartford, and Quinnipiac. I don't think there's a return game with Manhattan but I'm not sure of that. It would be great if there was and they were able to make it part of a MSG doubleheader. The full regular season schedule will include 31 games. Barclay's is an exempt tournament with those four games counting as one. The A10 schedule is definitely 18 games. McGlade went public with that a while ago. It may have even been on an old press release. I assume every team will play 5 teams twice with 4 of them being the teams they played twice this past season. So.potentially there are either five (if Manhattan is not on the schedule) or four games left to schedule, but knowing G, he's probably finalized 2 or 3 of them already. Plus even though they're already scheduled, we don't know who the opponents will be for the two Barclay's games at Gola (one is rumored to be St Peter's).

I seem to recall making a mental note of a return game with Manhattan, since it'd be local for me. I wouldn't swear to it, though.

From Basketball Traveler:
La Salle University is looking to start 4 H/H series in 2014-15. We need a home game November 15th, and would consider all other options for available dates. Please email or call with interest.
Was posted last August, so I'm not sure if inclusion in the exempt tourney changed that, but atleast gives you an idea what they were thinking.

I checked Basketball Travelers last night and that posting has been removed and no new ones have been added. Looks like the schedule may be finalized (except for maybe the opponents in the two Barclay's games at Gola and the fifth A10 home and home partner). I'm kind of hoping they renewed the series with Penn St so there's a third Palestra game. If the OOC schedule has been finalized, might be a good chance they'll have a handout at the banquet.

Any bets that we will see teams expected to be pretty good in the MAAC, NEC, AE and Patriot? All games we buy?

Looking forward to a game at Drexel. Isn't Maryland in our OOC? And Colgate is the home opener. A10 schedule won't be final until ~Sept 1, if history serves.

Can anyone "in the know" confirm that T. Washington will be eligible in the fall? School is over now and just wondering if we had anything concrete. There's been a lot of speculation and inference.

G talked about every player at the banquet and what he expected next season from the returnees. He had a lot of nice things to say about Tony and expects him to be part of the rotation in 2014-15.

Or, rather than being like 99.999% of the sheep, he's being unique and predicting 2 games get cancelled.

At this point, there's no reason to think that they'll be any better than .500 in the league.

Absolutely impossible to make any kind of predictions on this season. Way too many new faces. A lot of talent and potential to be a really good team but I think it's way too hard to tell. In theory, there's an entire starting lineup that we've never seen before.
Price Roberts Shuler Stukes Washington
Not saying that's one I'd want to see together, but if you swapped Stukes for Wright, it's still almost a new cast, and probably a decent group to put on the floor together
it's possible that the combination of Price, Roberts and Shuler are better than Duren, Mills and Garland when comparing total units, but replacing a steady hand like Duren could be challenging.
I offer no predictions.
