With Fordham WBBall's 73-32 WIN over the Bonnies today, they move to 24-7, and are a lock for an NCAA bid! They play Dayton tomorrow for the A10 championship and automatic qualifier. Five years ago, Fordham was on La Salle's level, splitting the season series and tying for 12th in the A10. And just last month, Fordham barely beat La Salle 43-42. However, the Rams have since made swift moves up in the world and are peaking at just the right time. I'm usually partial to Dayton, but I'll be pulling for Fordham to run the table tomorrow, because I really enjoy seing their turnaround.

La Salle and Fordham Softball were at same level (bottom of the A10) but Fordham now is perennial NCAA tournament team.

Didn't the Fordham women go winless in conference play a few years ago?

Didn't the Fordham women go winless in conference play a few years ago? Yes, in 2007 Fordham went 0 for 30 overall. Fordham won today, goes to 25-7, and locks up their first NCAA bid since 1994. I am not sure if they needed to win today to qualify. I was assuming they had the benefit of an at large, but their RPI in the 40s had them somewhere on the bubble. Dayton is IN, thankfully, so A10 will get a second bid as a conference.
