Was waiting for that reaction. So you're telling me the best idea for a mascot was a giant baseball head? Big headed loser. We're getting an early jump on the baseball trash talk. To my knowledge Mr. Met is the only mascot that found a mate!!! ? Yeah, a perfect match with losing. SHOTS FIRED!

Says the fan of the losingest team in the history of American professional sports? just because... The phillies have averaged a 81.6 loses per season from 1890-2013. The mets have have averaged 84.8 loses from 1962-2013. The Phillies reached 10,000 loses in 123 seasons, the Mets are outpacing the phillies by 5 seasons. They both have generally sucked... Just the mets suck a little more than the phillies.

So about that, the first 71 years of your stats for the Phillies were in 154 game season (or less before like the 1920's, when most rainouts weren't replayed), so a raw loss average isn't really an accurate stat.
Again, not a Mets fan. Just don't like any sort of disrespect towards Mr. Met.

This Yankee fan scoffs at this argument. No professional sports team should have a mascot.

None of my pro sports teams have mascots, but I love them.

This Yankee fan scoffs at this argument. No professional sports team should have a mascot. the Yankees are a professional sports team? Always viewed them as a financial institution minus the advisors. I'm indiscriminately going after everyone's teams at this point. Got in touch with my stereotypical Philly mean streak.
