Coach Royal was the halftime guest during VCU game. Said that next year will be the toughest non-conference schedule since he's been at La Salle. Will play three NCAA Tournament teams on the road ( West Virginia, Boston U and Northeastern). In a major coup, the University of Washington and Pitt will both visit McCarthy Stadium for matches.
He also said they will have a new player from the Norwegian U-20 National team.

Pitt is an anomaly... they went 0-13 in conf last year and their only "road" win was down the street at Duquesne. Still they will present an interesting match-up as they probably play at a fast pace. Other teams I hope to see on the schedule: PENN, Duke, or South Carolina. I heard we have reached out to Penn in the recent past but they refused us. In 2011, Penn went 14-2-1 and missed the tournament. In 2013, Penn had a 43 RPI, 12-1-4 record, and missed the NCAA again because of strength of schedule. Maybe if they want to be called on Selection Monday, they would do well to put some better games on their resume. Or Penn must run the table in their league like La Salle has done for the past two years.

La Salle at Dayton is going to be on Friday 10/17/14, 7:30 PM. It's a rematch of the 2013 title game, which the two teams tied, 1-1, but La Salle advanced on PK's.

Fri 9/19/14 @ West Virginia, 7PM Thanks. Have you had a chance to see the WSOC team play in the Spring? If so any thoughts? My understanding is that WSOC has 6-7 recruits for this Fall. This incoming class is good to very good. Scoring by committee, defense by committee, and even goalkeeper by committee. The Norwegian national team player will make an impact and fill some of the void left by the departure of the winningest class in program. Also, Pitt Announced today: La Salle hosts Pitt Sunday 9/7/14, 1PM.

La Salle WSOC "lucked out". Fia Jonsson transferred it appears because her boyfriend was Philadelphia Union's 2nd round pick last year. Pedro Nezio Ribeiro was former Coastal Carolina soccer player.

I see where WSOC tweeted they are #22 in RPI this year. Hats off to WSOC team. Broke Dayton's 30-game home conference unbeaten streak tonight. Amazing what they have grown into. Haycook seems to have a hand in the scoring every game.
