Pretty surprising that a bigger program hasn't scooped Royal up.

Although it's not the desired result, I was very proud of the way La Salle played in the tournament with the 1-0 loss to #6 West Virginia. It's unfortunately La Salle's third 1-0 loss of the season, but La Salle managed to hold our own against a ranked opponent. The defense forced a lot of bad shots but couldn't keep the ball away from them and WV did cash in on the penalty whereas La Salle didn't manage to create the equalizer.
Next up is the A10 regular season starting Thursday, 9/21vs Duquesne at home.
The unbeaten St Louis is my favorite to win the league, but many other teams like St Joe's and Dayton (who we'll face in back to back meetings next week) will also create tough competition for the title. La Salle will hope to build on its early season successes and give the A10 title another run. (La Salle has three regular season titles in 2011, 2012 and 2014 and two conference championships in 2012 and 2013.)

Congrats, LaSalleWSOC, 2017 Big5 champions! That they had to do it with four away games, and won them all, is all the more wonderful.
The only chink in the armor would be Drexel which went 3-0 against the Big5. But I certainly don't want to diminish the fact that La Salle beat St Joe's today, 3-2 in overtime!
