What's happening with the property. Last I heard La Salle was ready willing and able to buy the property but the "seller" needed to be clarified.
My suggestion (when we acquire the property) is build a three story dormitory. Make it upside down where the entrance to the school is from the third floor by the Baseball field. Knock down dorms next to Haymen. Expand Haymen to include a new arena (use the parking lot if necessary).
This would give Development something to do... excuse me sell.
While our neighbor Central High School is, of course, to be congratulated on their receiving this transformational $10 million gift from a distinguished alumnus, regrettably my secret, clandestine, covert, stealthy long-term aspirational plan for the eventual dramatic expansion Eastward of the La Salle University campus ( when, if ever, the Phila. School Board decided to relocate Central H.S. ) has now been officially quashed by today's news :

Eh, unless I missed something I don't believe this would impact the alternate entrance idea via the Armory site, which I'm not even sure if that deal was ever executed. Plus, any improvement to Central itself would only help the University in cleaning up the area.
