I'm the same way - I probably own 10 different T-Shirts/golf shirts with la Salle on them and wear them regularly but now people come up to me and comment on it, it's really awesome actually.

Speaking of Coach G - watch those videos and focus on the bench at the end of those games....for as emotional a guy he is, all these games that came down to the final seconds and when the buzzer sounds, he just walks over and shakes hands like they're just coming out of the locker room to start the game and are saying hello.
It's really great

The Ramon/Duren press conference after the Butler win.
The 2-minute mark will absolutely break your heart. Ramon's asked about the emotions of the win since he's been sobbing.
His response?
"I didn't get to hug my mom."
Ty looks like he's about to break down from it, too.
Man, Ramon has had to go through so much in his life.
But what's really great -- his mom's right there with him during his Senior Day photo. And, of course, she was actually jumping up and down at 20th and Olney after the Ole Miss game.

I've been seeing much La Salle paraphernalia down the shore so far this summer . A marked increase in La Salle flags and t shirts. Wear an Explorer's t-shirt and you're sure to get a "Go La Salle" a handful of times down there this year, I do at least. It’s a nice little renaissance in positive vibes from the early 2000's, of course with the exception of folks in SJU (of PA) t-shirts who literally turn their heads the other way as I approach with Blue and Gold apparel!

Wow. I find myself reflecting more and more about our run as time passes. First I want to thank G and the players because they are the ones that did it. We had that loaded team with Lionel and only won one tournament game and that stung cause we all knew that was our year. We all suffered with so much bad luck and bad turn of events with his team. I remember checking scores a few years ago to see how bad we got beat! Then when G started losing by less then 20 I thought it was a start. Then we started losing in low double digits and single digits and thought G is starting to improve. We were that low as a program that that is how I was evaluating the season. G then changed his style of coaching again and got some impact transfers and we began to rise. All this time my kids were humoring me by going to a few games a year but saying Dad.. Listen.. Stop doing this to yourself ... LaSalle just isn't any good. Btw to date they have never seen LaSalle win live! 10 plus games. Those are long walks back to the car and 2 hour drives home. I would come onto his board and you guys would be talking LaSalle and analyzing everything like we were relevant. I said these guys here are the purest fans I have ever seen. The NIT loss was so painful cause I just felt we could not win a big game. I was the first to post asking if G could ever win a big game. This past season I watched about 6 games with my son on the computer. It was nice bonding time. That Butler win being a high light. That was the first time where I could see he was thinking LaSalle might actually be good. I loaded my 3 boys up to see LaSalle win the Big 5 at Temple. AGAIN I drove home crushed. It was strange cause my gut feeling kept saying LaSalle is going to do something big this year and I was certain it was the Big 5 title. Then the quick exit from A 10 tourney. Then the stress of waiting if we were in. Had a big party for the Boise st game and man did we play well. Garland made a name for himself starting with that game. Watched the K state game in the Wachovia center. Had tickets for Duke/ Albany and Creighton /cincy. I went to the bar and it was packed with Temple fans. When their game was over it cleared out and only me and my son were in there watching our Explorers. It went from a couple of hundred people to 2 in an instant. Nobody cared. That Kstate game was almost to much to bear. I even prayed to The Lord and said dont do this to us again. When we lost the lead I can't tell u all the feelings it brought back from that Clemson game. When we won I felt like I just ran a marathon. I was spent. Ole Miss gave us the SW Philly floater and cousin Bern.... AND National attention AND respect in Philly.. AND made us the fans so proud to wear our colors. Lastly this run really bonded me with my kids and family. We all watched the games together and I traveled to the Staples center for the Sweet 16 with my wife. We may have lost but to see our Name so big all over the place was incredible. My kids have been wearing their LaSalle shirts proudly ever since. Also I linked up with so many friends from school that I just fell out if contact with because of our success. It just goes on and on. Keep winning boys so we can write about what this season meant to us!

It's unanimous.
On the bright side, you could buy a 27" Apple computer screen that has picture quality better than almost all TVs on the market (other than 4G versions)

Seeing La Salle fan Mike Sielski get to write an article like this... our dreams have finally come true! It's great to see someone like that who's been supportive in the bad times (unlike Gonzo) get to write this article in the NEW YORK region's sports column when the sweet16 occurred. online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324789504578382711983492502.htmlAnd at the same time, it is not enjoyable having to watch Gonzo and Howard Eskin wax poetic about how great a team La Salle is. I did have fun putting Gonzo's own past words in front of him and watching Gonzo flounder to come up with a response to his own jarring criticisms from not that long ago, 14 months ago was the center of his all time worst disparaging tweets, but now that the sweet16 happened he acknowledges La Salle was good last year and great this year. Not the kind of journalistic integrity La Salle usually teaches!

Just watched the k state game again. Jerrell was 6/6 from field and 9/9 from the line with the ball at the line to try to extend our lead to 3 pts. He then rimmed one out. Though it was not visibly intentional, and he may have just been due to miss, kstate still had to chase the rebound instead of inbounding the ball properly. They had a time out remaining to use but opted for a quick two then Galloway covered the lane and forced their guard off on an angle where he had to shoot over the backboard while still in motion, an impossible heave. We won the game despite making just 3 FG in second half. We did everything else right.
The over the back foul which was reversed to be on Peterson somehow did not faze us.

Just read through this again. I think I'm going to make a point to do this every few weeks. Then again, I am pretty drunk.
