It is embarrassing that the school didn't inform the student body that is happened.

Students are aware. It is abysmal that the media is trying to shift facts to make it look like a La Salle story. I guess there wasn't enough sensationalism coming out of Rutgers this week.

It is embarrassing that the school didn't inform the student body that is happened. It happened on Easter Sunday when only a few students were even on campus. They didn't have classes until Tuesday. The assualt occured MORE than 1 1/2 miles from campus. Closer to 10th and Roosevelt Blvd. That's not La Salle campus anymore than City Hall is on Temple's campus. Cecil B. Moore Ave, to City Hall is the same exact distance. I am angry that those animals would do such a thing to any women. I hope they find them and they get convicted. Sex offenders aren't treated very nicely in prison. Don't know why media makes it like the assault was on or close to the campus. Don't know why they used a picture of the La Salle banner flying in front of College Hall on the internet story by CBS10?

This is also the station that failed to run La Salle scores during sports on many occasions.

I wouldn't want my first reaction to this case to be outrage at the media for their portrayal of La Salle as being somehow at fault (which is shameful ratings seeking, to be sure). Such a disgusting crime.

It wasn't if you were referring to me. I hope they get those animals very soon.

I wasn't referring to anyone, really. I'm sure everyone here is concerned. I caught myself raging against the way La Salle was being treated in the Philly press and more just needed to catch myself and try to see things compassionately first. That's all.

Its gross all around, but we still should have had a notice go out. Let the 95% of the students who won't leave campus without being in a car shrug off the notice as pointless and the other 5% find it helpful. Safety trumps risking a little overreactionary PR, every time.

Someone pointed out to me something odd about the NBC10 report. There was a small clip in the report showing what we are lead to believe was a female La Salle student walking on campus. The interesting thing is that the female reporter was seen wearing the same blue jeans and black boots. So NBC used one of their reporters in the story to play the role of a La Salle student?

Local Philadelphia media conducts itself in an asinine fashion. Film at 11.
(Right after the lead story on Eagles day at the local elementary school).
