TG has so much guts.I will always remember, the shot, the moment.Great life lesson too. When all is on the line, stay true to yourself, be confident, put your best foot forward and take it to the hole!We won because TG made a supreme effort to win the game when fate was in his hands. It takes confidence AND great effort to succeed in life and all of our young men seem to have both. Lots of credit to them, their families and Dr. G. Not ashamed to say that I became very emotional tonite-seeing our Explorer on national TV; our cheerleaders looking great; and finally seeing LaSalle playing on a stage where we belong. What a nite!

I don't know if he named his shots but that shot had Earl Monroe written all over it. The Pearl was also a product of SW Philly's John Bartram.

I tell you the Southwest Philly reference tickled my Dad (who grew up in Southwest and went to Bartram)... He texted me "I've probably watched 30,000 games counting all sports in my life, that's the first time I've heard an athlete mention Southwest Philly! Tyrone Garland"

Ty's going to be on WIP in about 10 minutes.
ALL they are talking about is La Salle w/ a little bit of Temple. NO EAGLES TALK!
This is seriously the greatest day.

He's not on yet so you have time to run to Best Buy.
Interviewing Gene Banks now for some reason. Not too interesting.

But don't ignore non-Philadelphia guards. Sam Mills has been a rather important player.

Seriously awesome interview. Ty's a super fun kid and loving every second of this in the absolute right way.
He talked up Big Bern. Bern gave him his first basketball when he was two. Also, a TON of students and alum have gotten on tonight, including a few kids coming back from KC. One said Cousin Bern's been on campus and knew him a bit and said he's the man.
They also played Kale's call of the end of the game.
This is the most surreal afternoon.
