So, excluding the 4 years in Miami, in 17 years, he's played for 8, soon to be 9 coaches... and King James, the Chosen One, isn't a coach killer? Make a list of all his coaches and let me know how many you think are championship level.

I will do this later tonight.
Soccer evaluations for the fall.
The biggest scam. I already know what team she's playing on, the coaches told me. The league has to have independent trainers evaluate so politics don't come in to play.
But the coaches already know who they want for the different level teams.
Make it make sense, Mr D...I will do your list when I get home.

Joe, what did he do with the warriors when Kerr was sick?

He led one of the best teams assembled to a 39-4 record in a bad western conference. They had the mvp, the 2nd place finisher in DPOY and the sixth man of the year. All all-stars.
Not exactly a masterclass in my opinion.

JJ Redick to coach the Lakers... they are doing a full court press to keep Lebron.
Podcast co-host to head coach. Professional wrestling.

I don't think this should be his first gig. I don't think most would be on board if La Salle hired him next year when Dunphy retired. This is Legs to La Salle. Same type of coaching move.

I think if JJ Redick came to La Salle and wanted to coach (15-year vet and not too far removed from the NBA), I would be more on board than Tim Legler.

We'll disagree there. Coaching at the NBA is much different then college in that the players are already there for you and you have an entire other team that makes decisions on the roster. If JJ Redick wants to come coach La Salle, I'd sign up for that immediately.

I'd be fine with it too. Fair or not, I'd assume the vetting process of "is he capable of being a head coach" would be higher for someone who isn't the best inexperienced alum available.

Legs and JJ are both ESPN analysts. Legs coached an AAU team. Their resumes are virtually the same.

Kendrick Perkins is an analyst too. He hasn't expressed interest in coaching. His name hasn't come up in coaching searches. ***also Perkins is a hot take, say controversial things analyst***

His name hasn't come up in coaching searches. To be fair to JJ, he's been rumored to like six coaching spots already. Legler has been mentioned as a potential coach at exactly one school. He said it was more, but never said what the school was.

As a blanket statement, "former NBA player + expresses interest" does nothing for me. I think Redick is uniquely interesting in a way that Legler, Rose, Jefferson, Perkins et all are not.

I would take either JJ or Legs at La Salle.
I would not take either if I were Jeanie Buss. I also wouldn't do it if I was JJ. Unless you're spoelstra or Lue, coaching Lebron isn't job security.

When you coach in the NBA you just worry about team stuff and X’s and O’s. Brad Stevens said when he got to Boston he didn’t know what to do after practice when he went home. No recruiting calls to make.
In college you coach your team. You recruit. You handle the portal. You raise NIL funds. You raise other funds. Meet with alums and donors. Worry about grades.
Coaching in the NBA entails a way more diverse list of responsibilities

Took the Knicks and the nuggets, both at -5.5.
Who would've thought that TJ McConnell would've been the biggest hidden gem of the process? He's going to have a longer NBA career than Ben Simmons.

Speaking of Simmons, he seems to be feeling much better. He showed up at the Met Gala tonight. The guy's a clown and an embarrassment to the NBA.

Straight clown. He doesn't like playing basketball. He likes the celebrity lifestyle that basketball affords him.
He's about to be the only guy in the history of the league to go from a max contract to a league minimum contract at age 28, what should be his prime.

Fair enough fellas. Need the Knicks to come through and a draw out of this Man U-Crystal palace game.... not looking good. I'm sorry, but that last part is so funny to read just now knowing how that match went. (I was in Wilmington last month for a 5K my wife and oldest were doing and snuck away from the after party to watch the last 15 minutes of Liverpool vs Palace at Catherine Rooney's since Liverpool was still a threat at that point. Like 30 Liverpool fans and a single ~65 year old woman in a Palace scarf and she was just the best. Gave them some shit as Palace saw it out and they haven't lost since. Super fun team up front too.)
