We desperately need more athletes in the frontcourt. Why Tunde and his 6’8 body doesn’t get more run is puzzling.. Especially he is one of the few people that can stretch a defense or push a zone. The Killer B’s and Gill just leave a lot of height and are a significant liability on defense/boards… Good win and glad we are 2-0 but we are leaving points out there on offense and giving points on defense.. Gotta clean this up before the real games come up… Giving up 3 for 1 in rebounds to Northeastern is not good by a stretch. Again, glad we won but disappointed that Dunphy did not made the necessary adjustments to help out that glaring hole in the team today.

Just got home from the attic. What a thriller, as this was probably a game we lost prior to Dunph. It wasn’t the prettiest execution, but damn these kids play their asses off and never quit. Very proud of the team and staff, as Northeastern was quite impressive. Beating a dead horse here, but rebounding was the only negative today. Thanks for a great afternoon in the attic! Only negative of being there was not hearing the POWs!!!!!!!
Fight on explorers!

Been out of town so haven't been to a game yet but the broadcast quality has been excellent so far. Good sound and some nice replays.

Just watch the game on demand and it was another close win for us. The Big 3 (Brickus, Gill, and Brantley) combined for 51 point and 17 assists in the win. My biggest concern with us is our rebounding. Northeastern out rebounded us by a large amount. Northeastern kept the game close by out rebounding us on offensive and defensive side of the ball. We have to improve our team rebounding before A10 play. Tunde Fasasi (8 points 3\5 from the field) played well come off the bench. In my opinion, we need Shepherd to score more points to be our X-factor during the season. My arm chair player of the game is Jhamir Brickus. Brickus scored the last 5 points to seal the victory. We 2-0 and the next two game in the Duke classic are winnable. Let us go 3-0 against Bucknell baby. Go Explorers.

He doesn't look like a freshman when he's out on the floor. I think he's going to be a good player for La Salle. The biggest ding is he needs to learn to rebound better. I disagree on Brickus, Brantley and Gill. Gill's a very good defender and a decent rebounder. Last year Brantley averaged almost 5 rebounds a game. For a guard his size, that's phenomenal. Brickus averaged 2.5 rebounds a game, which considerng his height is damn good. Brickus and Brantley aren't world beaters on D and their size hurts them against some bigger guards, but they hustle and do a decent job on D.

Again, glad we won but disappointed that Dunphy did not made the necessary adjustments to help out that glaring hole in the team today. once again, more complaints about the three best players on the team along with the coach. not sure what team you're watching, but those three are not a liability on defense. all three are above-average and put in a lot of effort on that side of the ball. they got plenty of stops. and for their size, they typically rebound fairly well. but yesterday, they collectively did a poor job boxing their men out after getting stops. that was the problem. and while shep and rokas overall played well, they only combined for 4 defensive rebounds in 52 minutes. those guys need to be better than that. the team did a solid job against drexel, limiting them to 6 second-chance points. yesterday, northeastern scored 25. it's a fixable problem and you can be sure it will be a focus in practice going forward. i'm sure it already was as dunphy has talked about multiple times. so what is your solution? to cut the minutes of three guys who combined for 51 pts, 17 assists (against only 3 turnovers), 10 rebounds and 3 steals and give those minutes to who? tunde played well and for him to get 18 minutes is not bad for a true freshman, but while he had 2 blocks, he had only 1 rebound in 18 minutes.

Great crowd yesterday and it was exciting to see La Salle pull out the win. Thank God we were solid from the line - something we don't usually see. I thought we were going to blow the game open and use Rokas more because he was having his way with them early, but we seemed to go away from that strategy. Like the other night against Drexel, I thought Gill was exceptional.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, let's remember that Northeastern had a NET of 312 last year. They added some solid transfers, but were still picked 10th in the preseason CAA. Rebounding is a huge concern moving forward. It will be difficult to win A10 games giving up 25 second-chance points.
