Not going to miss the seniors, sorry. Thought the team played ok. Can you not advance in men’s ncaa with a timeout? You can't advance it with a timeout. That's an NBA rule. And it's a horrible rule. Leave it as an NBA rule. Maybe one of the worst in sports (Mike DeCourcy has been saying this for awhile now).

The good things I saw today came later in the second half. I liked the press a lot, I liked the absence/reduction of turnovers while the game was still up for grabs, and I liked the offense they ran.
I still think they'll have four more losses before they face St. Joe's, but it looks like they put the week in between games to good use in practices.

We were expected to lose by double digits against a difficult opponent on the road. We were within a possession or two the final ten minutes, during which I thought we showed pretty good effort. January 2020 was never going to be a winning month for this team. I’m just happy we showed some life after dropping the last couple and the week off. On to the next one. Not taking a moral victory from a 5th place A10 team. Ashley's team competes hard aside from games vs Dayton and Mason. This thing is snowballing on us.

I agree we need to start seeing results. We should be better and not the same or worse than we were at Christmas.
What is most worrisome is that our freshmen and sophomores are not getting better.
The team plays hard for Ash but the program needs more than that.

Maybe it's asking too much but more progress than what I've seen thus far from each of the freshman plus Ed. That's the future for this team.

I was going to post that Croswell looked like 6'5" in the first half rather than 6'8". He was awful with his opportunities in the first half. He did play well towards the end of the game.

I took a look at some of the stats. Our freshman had 11 turnovers in 45 combined minutes. The rest of the team had 11 in 145 combined minutes. Hard to win with 22 turnovers and many of them just careless.

Our next 3 games are against the teams that are ranked #1 (Richmond), #3 (VCU), and #5 (St. Louis) in the conference with the best turnover margin. I think we will struggle in those games to protect the ball given that we currently the worst in the conference in turnovers/game, averaging 17.6 in conference play through 5 games.
