The only thing I am disappointed in so far is that I was hoping that, with the recruiting that Ash had done for Nova, we might be able to "steal" a top recruit early that did not end up with them. Looks like this is not going to happen. He's already brought in 3 transfers all of which were either heavily recruited or were originally top 150 recruits. This recruiting class of Kenney, Hikim, Stone and Ray is a top 75 class in the country. The only other A10 programs with better recruiting class this year were UMass and VCU. We aren't landing 5 star recruits.

Looks like this is not going to happen. This is pretty unrealistic. The top top guys who don't pick Nova go to P5 football conference schools. The ones who don't make the last cut with Jay (and get a Jay offer) have such big heads (e.g., by virtue of being considered by Nova), they will go to a next tier bright light Big East school offer, with the next level being the Hall or X and below that Providence and then G'town and then St John. The fact that Ash had good Nova rapport with one of these kids will not change their views (or more realistically their handlers' views).

Billy Lange seems to have figured it out.

Billy Lange seems to have figured it out. MisterD - remind me again how much we beat Temple by this year, and how many wins we had last year at this time

Don’t think anyone last year said ash had it figured out. Something tells me losing by 5 and losing by 50 are not the same. Could be wrong though.

It’s hilarious that St. Joes (of PA) got beat that badly, but like, let’s not lose sight of the fact that Temple can absolutely eat an eternity of farts too.

And their loss to Dayton by 31 in the second to last game of the regular season was worse than any of Lange's losses so far...

Keep in mind they lost to Nova by about the same amount as us. Yeah Temple kicked them to the curb, but consider the recruits and starters that fled when Phil left, and losing Funk to injury this year...they are going to struggle. They were on life-support before losing Funk, and just don't have the horses or depth to do much now. Ash at least had all the recruits except the rim protector and didn't lose any key pieces coming in due to transfers.

They were more or less not wanted on the roster when Lange took the reigns. Again, no one said Ash had the team figured out last year. This board said Lange had it figured out. That is the difference. I don't care that we started 0-10 last year. No one said Ash had things in order. Obviously Lange doesn't have it figured out, seldom coaches do figure it 6 weeks into the season, I just wanted to bring that to light.

It went from Lange "figuring things out" to the post above. We're all wrong sometimes. The whole situation was good for a chuckle.

Anything else is unacceptable.
