Time to close this out without too much drama. I can take the blame for this meltdown. Looks like I was the jinx.

Hikim has not made good plays when he had his chances. Not a good game for him.

Yikes, our free throws don't look like free throws.

If we got our free throws and took care of the basketball this would have been over a long time ago.

That's a quality win. As many of us thought, defense will be are calling card.
Beatty, Stone and Spencer were probably the players who stood out most.

Well, needed to wait much longer last year for that first win. I'll take it.
Penn is going to a BIG test.

going to be another long year Second half was bad, but they still just beat an experienced team that wins their league every year in the first game. Not sure why I should panic about that.

Holy hell not even sure what that was but a W is a W. Great 1st half and plenty for Ash to fix. Proud of them taking that punch and pushing thru for a W

88, I turned it off. How much did Iona beat us by? I will let you know every game this season we lose because we don’t do what we should. I am still waiting for your passive fandom to pay off You and your trite bullshit make the board unbearable. You have something to say about everything but offer nothing useful for this board.

Win is a win. Did Stone not play the last couple possessions of regulation?
Hikim clearly has both athleticism we never see and an instinct to get to the ball/rim, he just could close out today. Like the tools, need to harness them.
Little disappointed in Christian Ray, but too early to tell. Just seemed to hide a little bit too much.
Liked Ed Croswell’s game a lot, but this wasn’t the game for him to play a ton of minutes. He’s the banger for sure.
Who is La Salle’s best player right now? No idea.

One additional thing that I love. The team body language and chemistry seemed much improved. Doing stuff I haven’t seen since the tourney team.

Stone did play the last few possessions. I think Ray has good instincts but is not ready for this level yet because he doesn’t have a specific skill that works at this level.
I think there will be a best player which is different each game this year. No one stands above the whole lot.
Shaggy did not play in the second half did he?

It seems ray just needs to find some confidence and settle in. Sherif is going to be really good. As said above, ayinde has all the tools. Stone is ready. And Jack Clark now joins this class after this season. Buckle up fellas.

It's not all bad for it to end up in o/t. Maybe a pressure filled win has its good points vs a 16 point roll-over win.

In retrospect it does have value but it also would be nice to see the team play 40 quality minutes of basketball. We are young so that may take some time. Team has a rough stretch coming up. Need to play better than we did in the second half or we could be limping into Thanksgiving.

True freshmen played >35% of total minutes on opening night to knock off a team that has made the tourney 4 straight years, including an OT shutout. It’s a really strong win.

Hikim somewhat reminded me of Tyrone Garland's senior year when so many of his drives to the hoop were swatted. Hopefully Hikim will learn to choose his spots better.
