Could absolutely see him having a Partin-ish final 2 years.

I look forward to the days when our March speculation becomes about what teams we are playing rather than which players are leaving.

Good luck to him. He can help the right program that needs his skills.
We are now at the scholarship limit.

Not surprising. Young man wants to play and he understands his prospects here are dwindling. Shame he will have to sit out a year. Wish him the best of luck.

Absolutely understandable. Hope he's able to find a place where he's a good fit.

I liked his shot and hope he can land somewhere good for him. Maybe a hardship waiver at a school near DC.

Last season one of my main questions was "Why isn't Moultrie playing?" because I thought he looked really talented, and G rarely got him on the floor. I still don't know his actual skill level, but I hope he can play regularly and make an impact somewhere, because Howard seemed to agree with G's assessment of his abilities.

If players enter the transfer portal but ultimately decide not to transfer (either through not finding a fit or changing their mind), is the school still on the hook for their scholarships? So for Miles and Moultrie, for example, would La Salle have to honor their scholarship if they don't find a fit elsewhere and decide to stay?

Entering the transfer portal is not binding, its similar to exploring free agency options. You could still renew with your existing team, but your allowing other schools to contact you. La Salle could pull the scholarship on anyone if they wanted but I doubt they would not only because its not right but because its also a bad look for potential recruits.

I would think all the transfers will not be back. Ash needs scholarships. He won't have them if he welcomed them back. I am sure he spoke with all of them and mutually agreed it was best for everyone to find a home elsewhere.

I thought once a player enters the transfer pool they would have to sit a year even if they chose the same school.
Maybe I'm mistaken.

It's a bad look to tell a coach you're going to leave only to then change your mind. He's not coming back and it won't matter to potential recruits.

Maybe I'm mistaken. www.al.com/alabamabasketball/2019/04/alabama-guard-john-petty-officially-withdraws-from-ncaa-transfer-portal.htmlSee the example above. Yes its unlikely a player would reverse course but it does happen. I have no idea what Moultrie's plan is and it certainly does not seem like he would return, but the point is that he can if both La Salle and he agree to it. It makes sense for both parties for Moultrie to move on. My main point is that players can change their mind after entering the portal without penalty of having to sit.

Alabama had a coaching change. If you posted to point out there is no penalty for sitting my apologies.

Jamir has announced that he is transferring to NC Central They just became D1 in 2011 and have been to the tournament 4 times since then, including the past 3 years, and 1 NIT. Granted they haven't won a tourney game yet, but they've been there. Best of luck to him.

After sitting last year as a transfer, and granted they are only 2 games into the season, but Jamir is averaging over 30 minutes per game, is their second leading scorer at 12 points per game, is shooting 50% from 3, and 100% from the foul line.

I got the impression Ash didn't like his game. He is a 2 and I recall Ash playing him very little and when he did a lot of PT was at 1. Probably not the right defensive intensity. He could hit an open 3.

This isnt the right place for this, but I dont feel like bumping another thread. I just want to say I cant believe Traci Carter is still playing college basketball (currently at Hartford). The other night during Hartford-Nova the commentators mentioned how it was his 4th time playing them at his 3rd school.

This is his 5th year not including a redshirt year. He is now 24 years old.

I thought the extra year they were granting for COVID was next year? I am guessing he got some sort of hardship waiver for that midseason transfer from Marquette? Could he come back and dominate the America East next year as a 25 year old like Chris Weinke at Florida?
