I signed up for this but have a conflict for tonight's UD game. Do they save the feed for some time so I could watch tomorrow?

I waited to see if I should sign-up for ESPN+, the combination of La Salle going 0-10 and the comments I saw on this board about it not working led me to decide it wasn't worth it. I wish the league would sign a better television contract with a more-accessible broadcast. The way ESPN advertised its "Plus" service at the time, it sounds like something you can only watch on your phone or home computer. "It lives inside the ESPN app, which also has programming from their cable channels and website. If you want to watch ESPN+ content on your TV, you'll need to understand how to navigate to that special content." Seriously??? I would be paying and I "need to understand how to navigate?" I should only need to "navigate" the "On/Off" button. Whew!

You may want to expand your comfort level past overpriced model of convenient channel buttons. This is not just an example of the A10. A lot of conferences are going with subscription apps for supplemental coverage.
In my opinion, a Roku box is great because you log in once and it just simply works and you don't have to keep logging in (subject to paying for monthly streaming app from ESPN, but still about $100 a month cheaper than most cable plans/devices). The drawback seems to be that the replays may expire there and you only see today's produced content.
On the web browser I had occasional connection issues and had trouble staying logged in. On Chromecast I had failures to launch- their video seems to be not compatible with that wireless technology. so I used an HDMI cable to the TV and it would be just fine. The good thing about the web service and HDMI cable option was that the replays apparently still work for some length of time, not sure if that has been defined as one year, more, or less. Does anyone know? The bad thing was it tied up a device other than my Roku, and I prefer my device to remain accessible for checking email or explorertown.

i could not have been happier with the espn+ service. for $5 a month, i had access to not only a10 games, but games from numerous other conferences. getting to see ja morant at murray state play a few times was worth the money by itself. got to see a lot of good mid-major games that i would never have had the opportunity to see before and it was all in hd.
i already had an amazon firestick so all it took was downloading the espn app which took all of two minutes and i was setup to go.
i imagine most of the problems people had were because of their internet provider or the connection from the school broadcasting it (i think the lafayette game never made it on air because of a la salle connectivity problem). some broadcasts were more professionally done than others, but that's a problem with the production team at the schools and not with espn. overall, the la salle production team did a very good job, but there were occasions where whoever was working the camera from above the west side zoned out and didn't follow the action (the worst being the end of the duquesne game where pookie's winning shot was out of frame). but the production team did a nice job having cameras working under both baskets so we got to see the play from two other angles.
the only broadcast that was really poor was from st bonaventure where whoever directed/produced that game felt the need to switch away from game action to a shot of their coach walking the sideline through much of the game.
i will definitely sign up for espn+ again next year.

It worked OK for me. I didn't sign up until the A10 season was underway and there were games not on other cable channels I wanted to see. I watched it at times on my computer, and other times sent it to my Chromecast on my big TV with no problems other than occasional video buffering issues. I watched on my phone a few times too while waiting to pick up kids places, so that was cool. The local coverage teams were sometimes not the best, but I guess that is to be expected.
I'll be cancelling it in the next week as there wasn't much else on there that I have time for, and probably re-signing up again next year.

That reminds me - time to cancel today before I get charged $5 tomorrow for access to the Fordham game. Side note - I do like that it includes access to what was formerly known as their Insider content.

It really sucks. The feeds crash and you have to refresh (and that's a network thing, I'll be watching two games and they'll both go down), they lag, the quality is up and down, and most infuriating, they often don't start the broadcast until the game is tipping off, sometimes later. I missed the first few minutes of a couple games this year waiting for the broadcast to be available, which is insane.
That said, it offers the most content. I was able to watch you guys, Penn, Joe's, other A10 games, the MAAC on a fairly consistent basis. I'll sign up again next year, and complain about all season.

I know some of you guys don't like giving ESPN any money, but this was I did. I have been an ESPN Insider for years, so I get all the content that is behind the paywall, plus I get ESPN the Mag (which is kind of junk anymore) and I get ESPN plus. Think I pay $49.95 a year. With what you get, I think it's worth it.
As for the streams, I mostly watched on my laptop and did not have many issues. Going back to rewatch a play during a timeout was possible, but I thought tedious at best. I agree with whoever said the SBU feed was junk, plus I'm pretty sure they had students doing the broadcast, which made it worse.
I think a big upgrade would be allowing viewers to choose which announcers they want to listen to. I'm sure other fans around league aren't fans of Kale, while we aren't fans of other teams broadcasters. If you could listen to your home team announcers, that would be a solid upgrade.

I missed the first few minutes of a couple games this year waiting for the broadcast to be available, which is insane. I hear your complaint and it's a valid point. But it's also even more true of network coverage. The event that comes to mind is the curling on NBC sports that went into quadruple overtime while La Salle played a whole 7 minutes of basketball.

Thanks for the responses, everyone.
It really helps getting different viewpoints and stories of individual experiences with this. Perhaps they'll make improvements on it for next season and I may give it a shot.
