He was injured during pre game warm-up if I heard Kale correctly. This team is weirdly hot and cold from game to game, so it's not fair to say this is the sure reason, but this team is way different without Pookie in the lineup. I was going to be the one to say it. They might be better with him playing limited minutes. I compared him to Ty Garland before and I'll stand by that.

When we found out he wouldn't be playing versus Nova I thought we'd get absolutely destroyed. Turns out the team played a different style of basketball and that's what I saw tonight as well. I believe he's a very good player but I have had the same thoughts as you.

Man does ESPN + have to like just cut it off immediately at games end?? They do not allow stats and wrap-up! Chintzy I do believe!! (Had to complain about something !)

I'm gonna stop looking at game posts for now. So just figure I will "like" any posts by Gnocci or Durenduren. Thank you. (I'll catch up tomorrow. But it's really only due to the quality of their avatars as I posted earlier)

Deas was on fire tonight...as somebody who has been critical of him this season, it was nice to see him have this type of game where he went off.

People don't like these type of takes though. And that's not to say he doesn't have a role. 12-15m and try to grab 15 points. Should probably play when Croswell is on the bench.

I'm gonna assume the posters on here insinuating we play better with out pookie in the lineup, have to be the same ones that rip Deas for shooting and dribble too much. Or criticizing Carter for being overrated and a waste of a scholarship. Right?
Because when we win, every one is great! And if we lose we just move the goal post to whatever player we feel like blaming that night. Got it.

In the Davidson line thread I thought it’d be best if he got around 20 minutes due to matchup problems with the DC lineup.

Deas played great D and was smart off the ball. Really good performance. Bravo. Carter was awesome. Would love to see more repeat performances by both.

Fun game to be at tonight. The limited crowd there was into the game and the team played hard and smart which is exactly what we needed. We literally just knocked Davidson out of an at-large bid - they needed to win out. Now their only hope is to win the A10 tourney. If we can't win...I like us as spoilers to Davidson.
2 negatives tonight:
1) The officiating was absolutely brutal..literally the worst I've seen in terms of its inconsistency. Making ticky-tack calls, but other times letting players get mugged with no calls.
2) I missed my half-court shot and brought shame to Explorer Town (only 4 people signed up...come on season ticket holders...step up). My only solace was the moral victory of being the oldest guy taking it and coming the closest.

What was the percentage of half court makes? I'm assuming from the lack of buzz that our season ticket holders must have gone 0/5.

It’s been almost three hours already and no signs of 🐬. Maybe he was too far out from shore and needs time to swim back to Explorertown.

And Absolutely boneheaded decisions a handful of times a game.

First time I’ve gotten back to Gola in a few years and to get to see us put a whooping on the #2 team in the conference was sweeeet. Phenomenal effort from everyone and a monster game in all facets for Traci. Not saying we go on a run but could certainly put a scare into some high seeds in conference tournament

Very nice win, especially without Pookie which adds another quality performance without him that the team can point to during the offseason for they can be capable of come next season.
Now carry it over to Saturday because a sweep of those guys would be a great feeling....

Said it a handful of weeks ago, and I was chastised for insinuating that the team may be better with Pookie off the court.

I also attended last night's game and agree that while it was a small crowd, the fans were into it especially the last 8 minutes or so. Other observations, Second time going to Hideaway pregame. Really enjoyed it both times. Couple cold beers and excellent Burger. Nice atmosphere and chance to interact with some fellow alums. A concern is the age in the west stands. Lots of gray hairs and way too few young alums. I fear our years of mediocrity have cost us a generation of lost alums. Student attendance was also poor. As an alum who had to get to the Palestra and pay for a ticket, it's hard for me to understand why students don't walk across the street to attend a game for free. Hopefully with Ash and the talk of a new facility we can recapture the excitement that made many of us fans for life. Great win last night. The future looks bright. Believe!

Probably one of the top 5 "GUTS" games I've seen in all my years watching La Salle. These players gave everything they had under extreme conditions. We played 8 but the vast majority were by 7. Playing a team that will force you to scramble on defense, we managed to win easily with basically two bigs as our substitutes. I don't want to put down Mosely but he only played 8 minutes. Clark out. Moultrie out. Pookie out. Beatty nursing an injury. Saul coming out of the locker room after getting some treatment ( he was still noticably limping). Kimbrough playing through his nagging injury. Croswell and Brookins playing on fumes. Yet they all hustled their fannies off. Awesome to see guys diving on the floor and out-hustling Davidson for 50-50 balls. Kudos to Ashley and the staff for mixing and matching guys all night. Congrats to Traci and Shaggy for career highs in points but that's only half the story. Their all around games was outstanding with rebounds, assists, steals, a block by Deas and terrific defense. Down the stretch Deas guarded JAG to stop him getting to the lane where he creates havoc. Carter was just a pest all night. Saul, David, Jared and Miles and Ed had equally good all around games. I wanted to see what Davidson fans had to say about the game and they are almost as funny as the SJU(PA) fans on their board. They are down on this team to a degree. They aren't happy with the HC rotations in particular taking out guys who were hot. Sort of the Dean Smith/Michael Jordan deal. What was really funny was it was obvious they were getting a beat down and had nothing positive to say so they turned their attention to Kale and Richie P. They were trashing them royally. They didn't like the "POW." Well I guess it does become annoying when you hear it 13 times! They even ripped the PA announcer for the Bricklayer's commercial. One person thought it violated the A10 Code of Conduct. You know you are bored when you have to vent about the PA announcer reading a commercial. My last comment on their fans are they spent a fair amount of time reading the advertising signs. They want to know about Paddy Whack's and the Green Parrot. Advertising works. Kudos to the small but vocal fans at the game. Screamer II was into it. So were the 71ers and the 51ers, 61ers, 81ers and maybe a 91ers or two. I will not mention the referees to protect their family names but I was glad that the old geezers didn't throw their walkers, canes, glasses and hearing aids at those gentlemen. The small crowd was loud and I think the team got some energy from it. Shame we had so little support from the student body but a thank you to those who did attend. Final point, the folks at the A10 headquarters can't be very happy today. A La Salle beat down ( we lead 94.5% of the game) over the #2 team in the league is not sitting well. I wouldn't be surprised if they were having talks to kick us out of the league this morning . Great night. Ash now has to make sure of no letdown for Saturday. Hopefully we can get a little healthier. Thank you all.

Good to see we’re still at 100% for interpreting “starter misses game” + win as “actually, that guy makes us worse”.
