I know that the roster has changed dramatically as a result of the trade deadline. I am unsure if Sixers are going to keep Butler and how much it will take to keep Tobias Harris.
Many of us are old enough to remember the success after replacing Dolph Schayes with Alex Hannum and Gene Shue with Billy Cunningham. Is Brett a goner?

Don’t like him as a tactical coach. Goner for me.

At first I thought he was a deeper, perhaps more cerebral, more philosophical Phil Jackson. However, now the more I see of him in action coaching reasonably talented NBA players in game situations the more convinced I have become of late that he has always been little more than a world-class carnival shill / bull shitter / snake oil salesman.

If they don’t make the Eastern Conference finals and give it a run, he’s gone.
Bring on Jay.

I have liked his approach in the post game press conferences. I know he was an assistant to Popovich. Yet, he seems to get outcoached in in game situations. I also don't know if the players are buying into what he is saying. This is getting to be the strangest franchise with Colangelo, Fultz and the load management stuff. Is there anybody that can take over this talented and fragile train wreck?

Maybe they can turn around and finish 3rd when Embiid returns? Like Brett but I think they get knocked out in 2nd round at best. They better not face the Celtics in the first round or they are doomed. I remember they brought in Alex Hannum because he was tough. How about: Brown stays as VP, Brand stays as GM and they bring in a tough guy coach?
Rick Mahorn?

Brett Brown will be fired at some point. Not this year but I expect a second round exit in the playoffs at best and they end finding another coach in the next 2 years. Just my opinion but that is how I think it plays out.
Would love to see Jay Wright move to the Sixers. make them stronger and Nova weaker. Double bonus.

I didn't have an issue with the content. Those two (Marcus especially) are just awful.
I think Brett is probably gone if they don't make the NBA finals.

The Milwaukee Bucks eliminated the Celtics last night. Even if the Sixers were somehow to beat Toronto in Games 6 and 7, they have zero chance of beating Milwaukee this year.

they have zero chance of beating Milwaukee this year. Milwaukee is a better matchup for them than Toronto, IMO.

The NBA playoffs are actually getting interesting. I would love to see the Sixers get a shot at Milwaukee but I don't think that is going to happen. If somehow they beat Toronto on Sunday, I think they have like a 25% chance of beating the Bucks. It would be nice to get the opportunity. Still not sure of Brett Brown's status if Sixers lose to Raptors in game #7.

I like the Sixers chances against the Bucks. Winning a 7th game on the road is the issue.

So... verdict after the quadruple-doink?

Not a Brown fan but 2 questions are most important:
1. Can someone better reach Embid and Simmons? 2. Who out there is a better tactician while answering number 1?
Elton Brand needs to get to work to answer those questions.

I think I know the WRIGHT man for the job. Jay Wright. The head coach of Villanova.

Im not sure there is any direct correlation, but Beilein taking the Cavs job makes me think if we get rid of Brown, Jay might be interested. He will have seen 2 top college coaches go to the league and with 2 NCAA championships, I'm not sure he wouldn't be intrigued by the possibility of coaching a young core with 2 all stars under the age of 25.

Never thought he'd take another college job. Sixers and team USA are the only two jobs I'd ever expect him to consider.

So... verdict after the quadruple-doink? That shot gave me flashbacks to Terry Dehere circa 1992...although his was from the other side of the court and a clean swish.
