Now that you say it.... Yikes. That's all I see. Johnnie was a great kid, but I think he would have had a far superior career a half step down from the A-10. Not that there's any need to re-litigate this right now, but I do think he would've had a better career if he red-shirted his Freshman year, instead of playing like 2MPG.

He couldn't shoot well enough to be a standstill shooter and he could not take the ball to the rim and score on his defender. He was a lower level player than the A-10. Not his fault. G reached for him. Especially coming off the Sweet 16 run. G needed to get better players than he did after that run. That doomed his tenure.

I don’t see the need with Ayinde. Give me all the uber athletic guys with no fear in the A10. Can get away with it here.

HS PPG
Shuler Moultrie Brickus SO YEAR 17.4 JR YEAR 11.6 18.6 ~28 SR YEAR 15.1 DNP ?
DC has great hoops, but Brickus put up 52 in a playoff game against Chester as a junior. That's big time stuff. This kid can score
Surprisingly hard to nail down official-ish PPG numbers for Brickus
BTW, I love Hikim, too. Probably my favorite player in the program right now. But he's not a natural scorer. Love when he attacks, though.

well, that came out looking like garbage. Put it this way: Brickus as a junior average about as many PPG as Moultrie and Shuler combined

Instead of getting Fresh Kimble out of high school, G married Cleon Roberts and Jordan Price. That was his undoing.

88 - I don't see much online about Mr. Noble...……….is he highly rated?
On a secondary matter, I just checked verbalcommits.com and (I assume this is accurate) LaSalle has 19 offers out to guards, 7 to SF, 1PF and 3 centers. Don't we have enough guards? I think we need improve our low post game more than guard play and should be pursuing a 4* center or power forward. Your thoughts?

After this season we will have Ed (2 years) Jared (2 years) Clifton (2 years) Stone (3 years). I think we could definitely use some help up front, but if you can’t get true quality A10 bigs, winning with superior guard play is the way to do it. There also good be something brewing on the transfer market. I feel like bigs tend to aim Too high often.

I have the same question as 23Won above. Where is Naheem McLeod going to land?

I’d guess that he won’t. Whoever told him that Florida State was a good idea gave bad advice.

I have a friend who knows a lot about the local HS Basketball scene. Told me that McLeod is at a JUCO in Fla for two years and will re-enter FSU.

McLeod and La Salle went separate ways when he committed to FSU. Ash looked in another direction and signed Moore. This board needs to give up the McLeod fight. It is over and he is not coming here.

There's no fight in asking the question. It seemed odd that a 7' 4" player could basically disappear from any media coverage. Thus, the question.
Many coaches, G in particular, stayed in touch with recruited players who had bad experiences in P5 programs and saw returning home as a better option. Naheem being talked into FSU and then not being eligible at FSU seemed to fit in the same scenario we saw with Tyrone and Ramon, perhaps better since he never enrolled/played.
I look forward to Moore playing but believe he has 2 years so if something came of a Naheem opp, it would be great for the long term. Now that we have some answers to the original question, that seems unlikely or impossible based on tone.

La Salle head coach Ashley Howard is in tonight watching 2020 Coatesville (PA) point guard Jhamir “Jig” Brickus and 2022 Lower Merion (PA) big man Demetrius Lilley.
Wagner is also in with an assistant for Jhamir Brickus.
From Ari Rosenfeld.

If there's a big man that's a soph and he's being looked at by us or any mid-major program now, we probably have a slim to none chance.
