Seriously? Toole and James haven't been prominently mentioned anywhere I remember and he ruled out Mihalich.

Wait...what's this nonsense about La Salle interviewing someone we haven't mentioned on here? Also...this picture in the article...of Ashley Howard on a BLUE and GOLD ladder is a good omen. Attachment Deleted

I completely forgot about Toole. Good coach.
I like our list. Nate Jones was a shocking name to see. I am glad we reached out to Joe. He probably sees the finish line at Hofstra and doesn't want any more big changes.
All of this reads like it is between Ash and Legler.

All of this reads like it is between Ash and Legler. Ash versus Legler in the coaching race is like Miami versus La Salle circa 2015. Ash wins that and cover handily.

I feel they're trying to make a story out of something that isn't. Like some of those names haven't been reported anywhere else. It's so speculative, and the rest of it is regurgitating things everyone else is saying on Twitter.

The article says Howard has already had an initial interview and that interviews are still happening through Thursday. How can anyone not still working this past weekend NOT already have been interviewed? Maybe Thursday is the "final" interview for top candidates with initials that equal A.H. where the Pres gives the final OK.

To the people in the know: Does this need BOT sign off? I'm not in the know, but I would think the Board would have given Madam President a ceiling on $ and length of contract. Anything beyond that and I suspect they would have to sign off on it.

To the people in the know: Does this need BOT sign off? I think the highest this goes is when JimmyWhispers callls up Duke Gola asking for his blessing, and Duke tells him he'll get back to him after dinner as its meatloaf night.

The worry I have is if some 50 year olds are over-excited about an alum they see on ESPN.

LaSalle needs to offer AH first. If he turns it down then they can pick from who else is left.

I’m guessing the financial controls in place (I hope) that a commitment of funds at this level may require BOT approval. I would be surprised if they had any say in the candidate

Ash versus Legler in the coaching race is like Miami versus La Salle circa 2015. Ash wins that and cover handily. I know. I don’t get this at all. Probably a handful of LaSalle alumni, with money, whispering in BB's ear, and promising to throw some cash into the program if Legs is hired. No different than any other major college sport with a coaching vacancy. Just on a much smaller level at LaSalle.

Why do you assume speculative versus informed? All of the information contained, minus uncited vague links statinh "so and so have been linked" mentioning some other new names, have been well-documented on Twitter. I mean, it even cites OBJ on twitter.

To the people in the know: Does this need BOT sign off? I can't speak firmly abot La Salle, but pulling from experience at another area university, yes. Expenses at that level almost certainly will require the BOT to give the thumbs up, though the parameters and thresholds of what will be acceptable have already been made clear. It'll be more of a formality.
