Here's an opportunity for people to get engaged with the Alumni Association. Unfortunately my kids have a variety of things that day keeping me from attending, but it's open for any alums who want to participate. You can register at the link below.
One of the main goals of the University and the Alumni Association is to encourage alumni to bring their talents and experiences back to the La Salle Community. The goal of the Alumni Re-Engagement Conference is to provide an opportunity for our alumni leaders to learn about the growth of alumni programs, discuss results of our recent alumni survey and explore ways we can create a better alumni experience, as well as connect with fellow alums who are passionate about their association with La Salle.
The Alumni Engagement Conference is open for all alumni to participate and will include break-out discussions on various topics including promoting La Salle, volunteer opportunities, affinity programming, alumni career networking and more.

There are still slots left to register for this. Note that the time is now 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:30 for the new Alumni House at the Peale House. I had a chance to go through it last week when I was there for a meeting and it looks amazing in terms of what has been done while still keeping it as a critical historical landmark on campus.
The Alumni House at Peale House will serve as a primary welcome center for alumni visitors to campus. The space on the ground and first floor would be dedicated as reception and meeting space for the Alumni Association and alumni affinity groups. In addition, there will be wifi, computer and phone access for alumni who are coming to campus to speak to a class or who are conducting business on campus. The second floor will contain office space for the Alumni Relations team. The walls of Alumni House at Peale House will be decorated with photography of distinguished La Salle alums, Fulbright Scholars and the history of the house will also be featured as an exhibit.
If you can't make the full conference, consider coming for the dedication.

Thanks to all who came out to this event and the opening of the Alumni House, especially to several of the Explorer Town members I saw there yesterday. If anyone is on campus, make sure to check out the new Alumni House. They did a nice job restoring this historic landmark and making it a workable place for the Alumni Association and alums.
