The first year I came back to the program...saw Rasual score his 2000th point against (I believe) Richmond. This is a real downer...

There are a lot of guys with Rasual's skill-set in the world of basketball - rangy shooters who are also okay on the defensive end. But you don't last for 13 years with those skills without being a great teammate. Proud to really see that reflected today.

Thanks stlexplorer from me and the other non-Twitter users on the board - it is nice to read all of these comments from people and teams.

Very sad. RIP. Did they have children? Not sure if they had a daughter or he had a daughter, which makes it 100x worse.

Hopefully we can get 45 patches on the jerseys by Saturday's game vs St. Joe's. This is a tough day family.

BTW, I meant to include my very great sympathies to Rasual & wife. Thanks Ras for what you did for La Salle, but more importantly thanks for how you conducted your life post-La Salle. There is nothing but Love and the highest praise from anyone who has been around him. ( sorry, I should have posted this first. )

This fucking blows. Rasual was always great to me. Always smiling, and would always talk to the press after games. So many memories of hanging with him at airports or team meals.
My favorite memory, that I may have never told him about, was one trip to Cincy Gardens to play Xavier. Their PA guy asked me now to pronounce his name. Guy says is it Razzle or Ras-u-ell? I almost fell over laughing at the guy.
Not laughing now, but saddened that Sool is gone way too soon.

AND, it does say something about how respected he was that his death is the top story on ESPN.com right now.

Really tragic. Hope that his family at least can see how loved Rasual was and is in the NBA and our program.

I think we have black tape across the shoulder for Butler, it's hard to tell on my screen.
