Is anybody else shaking, chomping at the bit, going through La Salle hoops withdrawal? I love nonleague basketball, it's where championships are won, it's where the best teams are determined, it is great where anybody can play anybody.
However, what makes college hoops a niche sport, and prevents it from dominating mainstream America, like college football does, are the 3 week gaps in action during the first 6 weeks of the season. I know that teams generally don't play during finals week, and with Thanksgiving and Christmas, there are natural breaks in the schedule. While I don't think teams need a week off for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I don't see additional games being scheduled with more conferences going to 18 game schedules.
Enough of the rant. I'm shaking like an alcoholic at a bar when it's 9 AM. The best part of the conference season is that it's at least 2 games per week for the next 2 months. Enough of the breaks, enough of the bullshit where we have to sit around and stew over losses, or argue over wins. It's all in front of us now. We are either going to have a team that can compete for an A10 title, or this place is going to be miserable. At least we will get our fixes...

Watching that UCLA-Oregon game last night gave me flashbacks of when we beat Butler. 2 games a week is something beautiful. Things at work are slow. (mostly) Only stupid bowl games are on. The NBA isn't important yet. NFL is only 1 important day a week. I'm ready for conference play. Last night there were like 6 games on I wanted to watch. Glad that is how most of the next 90 or so days will be.
Let's Beat Dayton!

Let's win the game. Let's play defense, run our offense through BJ and win in crunch time. Coach G must let our stars play through their foul trouble. He can't let leads slip away or let us fall to far behind. Let's Go Explorers!!!

Hearing Dayton is one of top 3 point shooting teams in conference is par for the course. Let's factor them in at shooting 60% from 3 land now and we will have this accounted for. Not to get the Price nation riled up here - but we will win this game if he plays within himself and distributes when needed and shoots when quality shots present themselves. If he realizes to utilize better options when it's not open for him-- look out. Watched the Dayton video and it's no secret -- we have multiple weapons - quality shots translate into a higher shooting percentage Enough said.

I hate Archie and think he has an ego the size of Ohio.
He said "water over the bridge"... I hope we wreak havoc on them like water over a bridge....

Neumann and I are making the trek to Dayton. Anyone else going? I've been thinking about driving the 8 hours each way to get there for a couple months but seems like a lot of driving for one person, and my wife would probably think I'm crazy if I asked her to go with me, especially last minute. I'll be posting up at the local bar two minutes from my house instead, cheering obnoxiously.

I'm in Ohio now. Going to Celtics-Cavs tonight, then on to Dayton tomorrow. Luckily I have this whole week off so it was feasible. Of course there was snow in NY and NorthEastern PA, but once I got to Central PA it's been fine.

That was a tough read for many reasons, and I won't go into them all, but he contradicts himself several times, especially when talking about the bench guys. And, did you guys know we have a new 3-point line?? From the story - "twenty feet, nine inches and beyond." Wow, we can really shoot from DOWN TOWN.

I don't think I could have written content more sophomoric if I tried. Still, the heretofore analysis is earned and mostly accurate, even if it reads like it was penned by the townie who won't shut up about that time he won state, 20 years and 150 pounds ago. Also, Kate Upton is overrated.

Is this the first time in the history of our conference that someone spelt the word "Ten" instead of "10"? I like the photo choices by the way. All of them. Word is Cooke is active tonight.
