You mean 5-13, 2nd to last in-conference Georgetown? If we're serious about this program, we should be competing with and beating Duke for players. We're in serious need of a sarcasm font. Maybe Comic Sans MS would be appropriate? How has the internet not adopted this universally.

If it was us, Maryland, and Georgetown I would be a little more excited . It's going to be hard to win the Atlantic 10 if these are the schools we are competing with . We are not beating Georgetown and Maryland for recruits. I am pretty sure if Kimbrough waited till the Spring he would end up with some very good offers. La Salle must find these type of kids before they blow up. I would love to have him. Look at G's record with very early targets and commitments. He has a pretty good track record. I can appreciate the notion that we're not going to pull recruits of a McDonalds All-American caliber, and that La Salle's path forward involves identifying diamonds in the rough and kids with high upsides and polishing them over four years. With that said, it would be nice to just be in the conversation occasionally with some of these guys the way Villanova is, especially with Philadelphia kids.

I wish it were different but in today's college basketball landscape the power schools really cannot be recruited against if you are La Salle. Poor facilities, name recognition, lack of national television etc... make it almost impossible to convince an impressionable 18 year old kid to play at 20th & Olney. The only exception is if he is a local kid and wants to stay home. Where it balances out is with transfers. All of our transfers came from power schools except maybe Cleon. G mines this area as good as anyone. Find the diamonds before they are exposed and mine the transfer market. It is how G got to the Sweet 16. The formula works if you coach them well and everyone accepts their respective roles.

What I worry about is the fact that we have not done anything since then. Will transfers still want to come to LaSalle? Then you mentioned coaching them up which is a whole other topic. I am hoping some things gel this year and we have a nice season.

Will transfers still want to come to LaSalle? Didn't we just get a kid from the Big East signed onto a full roster? Getting major transfers is like our only non-problem for this program.

You can probably throw Penn State in as local too... kids have a strange definition of what constitutes local sometimes. On the plus side, that list of potential schools is far less depressing than the kid considering George Mason.

Great to see G landing some power players. Always a need but going forward we were awfully thin upfront. Welcome Jared!

That's 3 commits for next year, correct? Kimbrough, Croswell and the kid from the South Jersey shore... How many more scholarships are available?

Great letter from his AAU coach, sounds like a solid get. Feel bad he didn't get his own thread here. Never commit on the weekend!

Jack Clark visiting this weekend. I saw Justin Lee was scheduled to visit as well. Not sure if that was cancelled. Clark is a big priority. Would be a great get.
