Mater Dei is still rolling along with 29-1 record and entering the first round of the CIF tournament. Miles Brookins' stat line hasn't changed much ( 7.4 pts, 3.2 rebounds and .8 blocks per game).
Mater Dei played Crossroads School recently. What is notable is that Bol Bol (son of the late Manute Bol) faced Shareef O'Neal ( Shaq's youngster).
Verbal Commits posted this recent 2018 recruiting target. Jason Wade 6-5 from Trinity Episcopal HS and Mechanicsville VA. Interesting the young man has a picture from our trip to the Sweet 16. I would call that a dividend.

I would call that a dividend. You're reading too much into that - it's the first result on Google Image Search when you type in La Salle Explorers basketball. The arena photo is the first decent photo of TGA that pops up too. (Who knew there were decent photos of TGA?)

Chino Hills, the school where Lonzo Ball’s little brothers play high school basketball, lost to Mater Dei in the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section playoffs on Friday. Bol Bol had 14 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks for Mater Dei.Miles doesn't look like he was a big factor in the game, though.

Watched Archbishop Wood tonight and Seth Pinkney has been mentioned with La Salle. God knows he would help our rim protection but needs some serious weight.
I would be very surprised if G was able to get serious with him however.

Verbal Commits reports that La Salle has offered Jaheam Cornwall who is Eric Ayala's backcourt mate at Putnam Science. Cornwall is a 6-0 PG and a 2017 recruit. It was also recently mentioned that Simeon Kirkland, a 2017 PF named La Salle as one of 3 teams working hardest at this point. What gives? They are already one scholly short for next year. Who is leaving or not coming? Do they expect mass defections when G is fired>

Do they expect mass defections when G is fired> Yes, Giannini is heavily recruit '17s because he planning for Giannini's inevitable firing.

Do they expect mass defections when G is fired> Yes, Giannini is heavily recruit '17s because he planning for Giannini's inevitable firing. Although the wording is awkward I think I get what you are saying. More likely G knows that there will be defections and he is planning accordingly. Frankly I am often surprised that more players don't leave considering how G treats some of them. Cleon Roberts is the classic example. More than once I have heard people close to the team say that they were surprised that his name was Cleon since G only refers to him as F***in' Cleon. Is it any wonder that the kid often plays so tentatively. G seems to rip him a new one no matter what he does. He can't be the only one. The coaches also are not immune to the wrath of G. It appeared that G was assaulting Brady with a profanity laced tirade right before the half last Saturday. If I was a player or an assistant I could endure his over the top treatment of the team if he showed me that what he was preaching worked and produced results. Or if he consistently recruited players that were street tough and worked to prove the coach wrong. Instead, he seems to look for players who are good kids and somewhat passive. Often these kids are wonderful, productive human beings who make me proud that they represent my school. But as players in G's system ....

My guess would be G knows he's losing one. Aren't we already one over with Traci Carter?
G continues " recruiting over " at the guard position. Looks like he would need 5 basketballs to find PT for all of our current and incoming guards ?

G sat in the first row behind the Wood bench last night. Obviously 6-11 JR Seth Pinkney was his reason for being there. This might have been Pinkney's best all-around game of the season and his career. He had 11 points ( 5 dunks and 1-2 FT). 11 rebounds. 4 clean blocks and just as many altered shots. He is very mobile and runs the court well. He needs to bulk up a lot (like 40-45 pounds in next 2-3 years) and work on his stamina. Lots to like however especially if he can average those numbers next season.
I saw Miles Brookins stats for the last 10 games of the season. Scored about 3.0 pts a game down from about 6.5. Rebounds and rest of the stats were down a little. 22 rebounds with 3 assists and 6 turnovers. Added 2 blocks and 2 steals. Committed 17 personal fouls. I think he shot about 55% from the field and 6-10 from 3 FT line the last 10 games.
Can't find much on Dajour Joseph.
Former La Salle WSOC star Rene Washington was working for Bucks County Courier doing sideline videos and interviews.

I think Pinkney is going to go bigger but no harm in being involved of course.

I wonder if he was at the Neumann-Goretti game. I think that they have offered Marcus Littles who does not need to bulk up to play at the college level (maybe 6-9 and 250). Plays on a team that has kids going to Nova and Kentucky. May have been a bit overlooked playing with Cosby-Roundtree. Littles is probably a stretch but I would love to see him become an Explorer.
Another kid I like is class of '19 PF from Abington - Eric Dixon. Undersized (if anyone who weighs 250 can be undersized)but similar in size to Mo Allie-Cox from VCU. Lefty who can step out to hit an occasional 3. Only a soph but Verbal Commits says that G has offered him. Keep an eye on him.
