You have such a hard-on for Trump. We get it... You throw a couple hundred into my monthly paycheck and increase my retirement account by over 30% and make our country better and you bet I like guy. He brought back some of our big companies from overseas by reducing taxes. He has an art when it comes to making deals. Give the guy credit... he has made every Americans' life better. He has done better than Obama and GW Bush in making us prosperous again.

data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS14000000And here is a chart of the unemployment rate the last 10 years. If you look at this and see “All because of Donald Trump” you’re either being willfully ignorant or don’t know how to read a graph.

Obama used our tax dollars to try to revive the economy. Remember he outspent all previous Presidents combined. Who can forget the disaster known as "Cash for Clunkers" or the failed Solyndra solar panel mess. What was Obama's foreign policy... apologize to the Middle East, the Benghazi scandal and of course what many argued was the treasonous Iran treaty (the Valerie Jarrett/John Kerry deal) where he delivered billions of dollars to Iran without congressional approval and got nothing in return from the rogue nation of Iran. Well Iran stopped their nuclear program before we violated the agreement, sending a message to the rest of the world that making agreements with us is useless because we will violate them if the toddler we elected decides he wants undo everything the black guy did. No one needs to bring race into the argument. Trump did undo everything that was harmful from the previous admin as he said he would do when he campaigned. He has lived up to his word unlike many previous admins. He even moved our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem as both Bushes, Clinton and Obama campaigned to do but never did.

No one needs to bring race into the argument? This was a man who ran an entire campaign on manufactured white grievance and telling people it was OK to say there racist thoughts in their head out loud. Separating the election of Donald Trump for the racist underpinnings of his support is not something I will ever do, no matter how much shock is feigned or how many time rounds of “How is that racist?” I have to play with people.

Respectfully Steve, 95% of the economic facts you're citing are bullshit, and even Republicans haven't been on-board with the majority of his actions and statements. Like the G7 comments, because that wasn't generally embarrassing. And the economy didn't do better because Trump took office, those wheels were in place before him. It's okay though.
How far do your political loyalties go? Would you ever have sexual intercourse with a Democrat? Or would that like, burn or something? Even if it was like a supermodel?

If you look at this and see “All because of Donald Trump” you’re either being willfully ignorant or don’t know how to read a graph. You are proving my point. The graph shows record low unemployment the past 2 months. It was Trump who approved the Keystone pipeline also. He is looking out for our workforce. It isn't Democrat vs Republican... it is about eliminating over-regulation, being small business friendly, reducing taxes and the size of the bloated Fed govt, draining the corrupt swamp in DC and eventually many of the state capitals and even city halls where politicians have become self-serving instead of serving the people who elected them.

Also we're separating children from their families at the border right now by telling the parents that they're just going to take the kids for a shower which doesn't at all raise any horrifying historical parallels. You know, little stuff like taking tactics from the Third Reich that trouble me a bit.

Your 401k didn't increase rapidly during Obama years Actually mine did, and the stock market had a 33% rise during an equivalent time that it has risen 26% under Trump (also impressive). Now...dollar-wise it appears I've gained more recently because it's 8 years later and I've been contributing steadily during that time period and even a smaller percentage gain is enhanced on a dollar-wise volume, but you have to look at percentages to tell the full story. During Obama's tenure the market rose 149%. Now...the telling point will be next year. If you look historically other than the Great Depression, the 3rd year of a first term presidency has ALWAYS had double-digit percentage gains in the market. The thinking being the administration has time to get their policies in place and acted upon. Note....I'm not getting into the political argument here, but I like investing and look at these kinds of trends, and you're misstating basic economic facts about the market.

I am also not going to get into a political debate but you can't ignore what Trump has done for the market. Obama incurred more debt for this country than any other President.

Right - but you know every fact Steve said was coming from the "Yes, let's get in a political debate" angle. So when Steve leads with 'Hillary is a Enriched Iranian Nazi' or whatever he said, you can discredit any chance of a legitimate discussion.

Let's also not gloss over the fact that if your only criteria for a good President is what lines your pocket the most, you stink. Like "Sure, he'll be hell on poor people and minorities, and alienate every one of our allies to the point where the relationships may be damaged irreparably, but if it strengthens my portfolio, I'm all for it."

No winners in a political debate. About 20% of people are willing to look st it with an open mind.

I would suggest that falling life expectancy (https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2017/12/life-expectancy/548981/) is a sign that the US isn't doing as great for everyone as Trump supporters argue. And a lot of the life expectancy is because of the "death of despair" - the increase of death among younger people due to overdoses, suicide and alcohol abuse.
A lot of the country is really banged up. So much of the economic generation in the country comes from the coasts and a handful of metro areas like Chicago or in Texas. How do you spread capital for reinvestment to parts of the country that are hurting?
The answer isn't "reopen steel mills" or "bring back coal jobs." Automation or changes to the natural resources marketplace won't allow that. And a lot of the writing about this topic includes the talk about how there are jobs in the Rust Belt, but the lack of people without an arrest record or who can pass a drug test is making it impossible to expand.
How do you fix that? These aren't people who have a 401(K).

I don't base my statements on fox news or breitbart or any particular news source. I do pay attention to investigative reporters who show the past history of the people Mueller surrounded himself with in the special counsel.
Nor do I make personal attacks against those who disagree with me. I base most of my statements on what has been released by the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) which both government watchdog groups and congress use to get to the e-mails and texts made by Hillary, Comey and FBI agents including Peter Strzok and Lisa Page that show either felony crimes were committed or that there are cover-ups involved at the highest levels of the Democrat party and FBI and DOJ. You can't deny that Strzok protected Hillary from criminal prosecution or that he was anti-Trump. These are known facts. The problem, imho, is why it takes so long to prosecute McCabe, Comey, Strzok and Lynch for their mishandling of an investigation involving national security where HRC's IT guy used bleach-bit to scrub her server and the numerous cell phones that the FBI somehow allowed her to destroy... even Tom Brady was punished for destroying cell phone evidence.
Watergate was wrong and Nixon and his associates paid the price. The spying on the Trump campaign, the illegal HRC server, the fake Steele dossier used to obtain FISA warrants in order to appoint a special counsel to take down Trump are crimes far more serious than Watergate. I would demand prosecution if the GOP ever did something like that.

I do watch his opening once a week and haven't seen him mislead people like Rachel Maddow or hopes the economy tanks if the opposition party is power like Bill Maher on HBO. I have seen CNN obsessed with Stormy and her lawyer... guess they hoping for better ratings.

Pretty simple, right? "Why should I care if it doesn't affect me" is the one conservative ethos they don't need to be told to know.

While we're at it ... there should be absolutely no going back for Trump acolytes. If this country ever does get back on track, their time spent deifying and defending at all costs and against all logic a born-rich, egomaniacal, complete-and-as-someone-born-and-raised-inside-the-NYC-news-region-I-assure-you-utter fucking moron as the savior of the "common (wink wink) man" should hang around their necks until they're eventually gone. That's it from me here.

This is exactly like arguing with my dad smh. "I don't only listen to Fox News & Breitbart, I only follow the truth! *Follows up by citing articles from conspiracy theory sites that are not based on reality*
He has 0 problems believing pizzagate, spygate and whatever nonsense foxnews picks up from a random Reddit thread but anything from the Steele Dossier or our Intel agencies like the DOJ, CIA, FBI are complete "witchunts."
It will take decades for this country to recover from the constant bullshit and lies spewed from our Commander & Chief
