President Donald Trump has told American citizens and for that matter all LIBERAL democracies world wide repeatedly, "the Press is the enemy of the people". The Saudis act accordingly slaying and dismembering one of their despicable enemy. Now here comes those whinny liberal democrats crying foul. Well Boo! Hoo! If sacrificing a reporter or for that matter some other "supposed do-good-er" is needed than so be it! Get over it liberals!
In case you don't know it, this is Winning! The Saudis are filthy rich! Gosh richer than Vlad and the Oligarchs of his court. Do you really want to jeopardize the Trump/Kushner/USA major business deals for some do good-er fake news artist? Let's be winners here not chumps! This is why we elected this man to lead us and the world to Greatness!

This is why we elected this man to lead us and the world to Greatness! Respectfully, what the hell are you talking about? This is the one issue that both sides of the aisle have no reason to disagree on - it was pretty messed up and they got caught - and you're politicizing it. Trump didn't have crap to do with anything, he didn't sacrifice anyone, he didn't get the intel, he's just dealing with it the same way any president would do when another nation orchestrates a political hit on one of your people and you have damning proof. Likewise, no one is saying Trump's anti-media agenda got the guy killed - he spoke out against the Saudi Crown. So let's try to keep this in context, because you're failing at that. None of those facts are being disputed by anyone - liberals, conservatives, etc. It's not like he's taking some giant stand when everyone else is sitting - the world is outraged. Congrats, he's doing his job. Can't say anyone is a winner here, though. This can't be what all conservatives believe, right? I'm literally left scratching my head after reading this post.

Congrats, he's doing his job. Can't say anyone is a winner here, though. This can't be what all conservatives believe, right? I'm literally left scratching my head after reading this post. Respectfully, you grab on to some things here, said sarcastically, and it looks like missed my points. My sarcasm is aimed at, a leader who presents despicable and Un-American Values and the potential effects of someone with the character defects he has can have-- President Donald Trump has told American citizens and for that matter all LIBERAL democracies world wide repeatedly, "the Press is the enemy of the people". The Saudis act accordingly slaying and dismembering one of their despicable enemy. (You seem to leave this part behind when quoting me. This was the TEE to my Drive). President's do not say these things as they can have serious terrible effects. And just may have here. Do the Saudi's think they have leverage over Don? Do they? Do they read their pal Don as ultimately going to protect their interest, knowing his Values? Knowing their cozy business relationship? And I take note of Don's initial reaction to this atrocity, the death of this journalist. The atrocity for Don was having to possibly give up a business deal. .Oh because it hurt the US?....you may not smell it but his personal wealth and money concerns were an obvious possible issue here. Obvious to me, his and Jared's business interest could weigh obscenely heavily. We used to call this corrupt and conflict of interest. And yes, I see it caught your attention, for now for the moment the GOP is "out raged" about what has happened. But, we shall see if it maintains. Once Don decides to smack "little Marco" around and others who are pipping up well we shall see. I believe they will fall in line eventually behind Don's position. (Check out Linzy Graham) Essentially, my sarcasm is aimed at a man with values grossly beneath those of a market street designer watch peddler who ever millisecond of his existence is ALL about himself. A real crook and pathological Narcissist who does not belong anywhere near the presidency of the US. And a Republican party who I have lost all respect for. They know Trump is crooked to the core, living large off of his position. They not only enable him, they are protecting him from being held accountable and most seriously for possible dangerous doings to this country. For example, there is a serious national security threat that Trump's relationship with the Russians could represent that the GOP is failing to investigate. And of course the business deals he and Jared have and have had with the Saudis that are now on display for those whose eyes are open. Are, or will the Republicans be investigating? I

I was a journalist for most of my life until a few years ago when I moved into PR. I still consider myself a journalist, but one who happens to work in PR.
We are a very tight-knit tribe. I only worked for crappy small newspapers and niche trade publications. But I worked with a bunch of people who went on the bigger and better publications. I actually was at a La Salle function years ago and sat with an Inquirer reporter who worked with Danny Pearl, who was killed in Afghanistan. You are always six degrees away from someone with a big name in journalism.
Trump and etc. can go screw off with this defense of the free press. He does everything short of ordering his supporters (re: mindless servants) to lynch reporters at his Hitler Youth co-splay events. There have been a much Of shirts floating about that day the words “Tree. Rope. Journalist” with a noose silhouette people wear at these things. People were more than comfortable after that Montana* Congressman beat the hell out of a Guardian reporter. Trump has even floated the idea of licensing free press.
That is not to say that Obama and his team were any free speech lovers. They filed plenty of lawsuits against reporters. Obama even mocked Rush Limbaugh at a press conference. And while I certainly am not a fan of Rush, I am even less of a fan of the president using a bully pulpit to pull rank on a critic.
But these guys are cretins looking for cover. They could care less. They just want to say in the next few weeks that they care so much about press freedom as we head to election time.

These people also need to get bent.

And it is wrong for any sitting president to use the bully pulpit to attack a critic, no matter how gross his views are. Should Obama just have ignored him? I don’t know the context you are speaking of but I’d wager a guess that he didn’t fire off a nasty tweet. And labeling Rush a political commentator is a stain on political commentators. He’s a propagandist stealing old, foolish people’s money.

The Donald has dispatched our secretary of state to Saudi Arabia to provide coaching and counsel to the Crown Prince. The message from Don to be communicated--- As with Russia, Don knows that you folks just do business a little differently in your part of the world. This is just a bump in the road. Like with Vlad, Don will have your back. Be assured Don has handled many situations like this before. He will continue to say how strong and convincing your denial was. You must act incredulous. (See videos of how Don handles similar situations, be angry and indignant. Attack the questioners.) You knew nothing about this killing. Don will stand firm to-- without proof you cannot and will not be held culpable. So for heaven sake cover your tracks. Eliminate and tie up all loose ends. As to the implicating of culprits this is important but forget the old standbys. So no 400 lb fat guy from NJ, and the Chinese will not work with this 1. Stick with Don's first suggestion, rogue elements acting independently. Don will handle the congressional light weights here. They will need to spout off and act outraged but they will fall in line. Don promises this all will blow over and we will be back to business as usual if you take his advice. He is looking forward to continued sharing of the greatness!!

I love "the Democratic Party is dead" like it's 1984 or something and they just lost 49 states. Clinton won the popular vote by 3 million. Sure there are geographic disadvantages, but this idea that the party is "dead" simply because you provided a list of names of people is pretty funny.
Trump Ted Cruz Steve King Roy Moore Orrin Hatch Dana Rohrbacher Devin Nunes
..............are either of our lists supposed to mean something in particular?

What Donald Trump is to draining the swamp is no different than what Elizabeth Warren is to Native Americans. Both are 'Grade A' bullshitters, a key trait of being a politician.
Being lousy is hardly a Democratic-exclusive trait, 88. Regardless of political affiliation, they're all pretty much crumb-bums. It's just a pissing match of who can hide it the best.

The best thing that can happen for the far right is for the present-day Dem party leadership to stay in power. Might be the only thing I'll agree w/ 88 on.

Remember that Montana* Congressman who bodyslammed a Guardian reporter for daring to ask him questions about health care? (I use * because he actually went to Upper Merion High School before making a fortune doing whatever and moving out west to play cowboy.)
Trump last night applauded that action.
I know that "owning the libs" (upsetting 21-year-old liberal arts majors) for cool memes is the utmost of importance. But our president endorsed attacking a member of the press just a few days after his Saudi owners cut up a Washington Post reporter.
Screw you if you like this dude.

I can't find a word to describe the level of disgust I feel for Trump applauding the assault of a reporter ever but especially in light of the Saudis recent torture and murder of Kashoggi. Even the "hey but have you seen my 401K crowd" must recognize the inherent cruelty of this.

Even the "hey but have you seen my 401K crowd" must recognize the inherent cruelty of this. The "conservative" right, both civilians and politicians, have become the masters of moral gymnastics. Lindsey Graham, Jeff Flake, Bob Corker, Mitt Romney...they are all APPALLED by Trump until they get in line behind him for a tax cut or welfare slash. They really are the worst of the bunch.

Honest question from the conservatives on here:
If I were to ever return to being a reporter and I asked a political candidate a question about health care policy at an inopportune time, does he have the right to attack me? Because the president is seemingly fine with that.
