So a few highlights from the OOC schedule Villanova (defending National Champs) Georgetown Maryland (is this confirmed?) Temple
Shouldn't hear one complaint about G's scheduling philosophy this year. That's enough big challenges for this team.

Did Miami last November for work. The weather was pretty excellent - mid-to-high 70's all day. I could do Miami, some Explorers, & some cigars.

That's enough big challenges for this team. Another poster here told me the Georgetown rumor was floated at the banquet. We assumed it was going to be at the Verizon Center in DC. This is even better. G gets us a neutral court game against a name opponent and at the same time, gets Cleon, Demetrius, Pookie and Jordan a game close enough for their families to drive to. Talk about a win-win. I got the Maryland info from an impeccable source at the open practice last October. I haven't heard anything since about it falling through so I'll be shocked if they're not on the schedule.

Thanks for the info KJmac.
GT going to be improved next season. A really good team to play in the noncon.
I am thinking the Maryland game could be for the A10/ACC tournament. Totally guessing here. These match-ups should be released in the coming weeks.

That, along with Syracuse not being in the Big East is total bullshit. Maryland is 100% ACC...

Can't wait to see the Explorer macking it up on the sand of South Beach. Which other teams are in the double header?

I am totally pumped for the schedule. Given that all of my siblings went to gtown, there is no way I am missing that game. The only question is where is the pre game event?

From that Gtown board : The Hoophall Miami Invitational is the culmination of two separate multi-team events. Campus round games will take place for each of the above-mentioned schools in two brackets. Maybe some more news on the way? Gtown guys giving us at least some marginal respect after one poster questioned our level of competition. Would be great if this is some sort of MTE with a chance at two games in MIA. Better than Brooklyn if you ask me

this is actually shaping up to be a pretty great DH. I'd happily stay/come early and watch TU...almost like a Big5 DH on the road!
Time to start getting serious about this I guess.

Southwest is now accepting bookings into January 2017. You can fly PHL-FLL round-trip departing Friday Dec 9th and returning Monday Dec 12th for as low as $190 per person non-stop.

Melo Trimble returning, they got another big commit today per Rothstein, etc. We'll have a good turnout at Maryland, assuming group tickets are made available for us. DC chapter always shows up for GW, and we had a great event two seasons ago at Mason with a lot of people coming down from Philadelphia for a Saturday night game. Fortunately, after that bed-wetting, the Ravens salvaged the evening for Charm City by knocking out the Stillers.

I have recently moved to Baltimore, and I have a VERY GOOD source who says that Maryland has pulled out of the game in December. This source has asked for anonymity. I was planning a large gathering of friends and alumni for the game but now those plans have been canceled.

This should probably be bookmarked for the next round of "WHY DON'T WE SCHEDULE MAJOR CONFERENCE TEAMS???"

I was planning a large gathering of friends and alumni for the game but now those plans have been canceled. Gary Williams wouldn't have done this. Turgeon can't coach, and he knows it. Hopefully they make it up to us. If I recall correctly, we moved a Maryland game back a year or two to accommodate them playing Georgetown when Joe Smith was a freshman. They had come and played us at the Civic Center the year before. I'll never forget that game because they had a freshman with one of the greatest names I've ever heard: Exree Hipp. Their big man, Evers Burns, destroyed us.
