How high above *70%* would that rate need to be before you wonder if it’s the university’s issue?

A couple of weeks back the net deposits were down more than 10% from 2019 goal and lagging behind last years numbers. While there will be some more deposits [there will also be some who end up not coming (the melt)] the numbers are very concerning...

None of the best cannabis execs have MBAs (or BAs for that matter).

None of the best cannabis execs have MBAs (or BAs for that matter). They will soon enough. They'll be taken over by alcohol, cigarette or drug manufacturers and the smaller shops and growers will either be pushed out or acquired.

In time yes but not right now. That will happen when the industry can legally put business cash in the bank without risk of federal seizure or censure.

Has anyone heard anything thus far as to what impact this increased competition for students has had, if any, upon the anticipated size of La Salle's incoming Fall, 2019 freshman class ?
Saw a post from a school official today welcoming about 745 new Explorers. This is the lowest since the school did the tuition reset a few years back.

Bucknell is $72,000 per year with room and board. With minimal increases four years there will cost $300,000.00. It's a very good school but hard to justify that kind of number. Colleges and universities continue to raise prices to offset the decline in available students which just leads to them attracting even fewer students. Surely there's an economist on campus that might suggest that the price is a tad high and that maybe they should use some of the almost 900 million in endowment to reduce the price.

Every time I delete a post that's clearly political on a thread that's not, everyone gets in high dudgeon so I won't do that here. All I'll say is that this doesn't need to get political, at lost not along the lines you're making it. So I'm suggesting that we not go down that road.

Both parties have condone this practice....one is now suggesting a way to make it all go away. There is plenty both parties are guilty of......this is just one but it relates to 99% of college students (cost of education), not big time athletics, no debt need apply here.

That's list price...hardly anyone pays list price for college. Average net price paid per student to Bucknell...based on 2018 data...was $38K, not $72K.

Glitter how much of the difference between 38 and 72 is free money as opposed to loans. Additionally Bucknell has division I sports including football so how many full scholarships for athletes skew the net. That sticker price surely impacts admission numbers.
